This is my favorite knife. This knife has been with me on many car accidents as a rescue knife. It comes in handy for breaking windows and cutting seatbelts. The blade is incredibly sharp and holds an edge well. The knife is very heavy duty and I highly reccommend it.

I have always loved Boker knives, but I have been disappointed in some of their "Magnum" budget knives (made in China to their specs). This knife, however, is perfect, the finish is flawless and it feels like a solid, high quality product. The price makes this a "best buy" rescue knife.

This thing is a beast! Good size and weight with a hammer on the base of the handle and a blade to cut a seatbelt if needed. I keep it in my car, because you never know...

I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good knife, with a good price.

I'm no expert, but this has a nice feel to it, and comes out of the box very sharp.

It has the features I wanted and is priced at a point where it's a good product to have for work, and it's not going to be the end of the world if it gets lost.

It is heavier and wider in the pocket than I anticipated.

I was using a HK "Benchmade" Ally before, which was nice and small and easily carried, but wasn't strong enough. This knife hasn't really been "tested" yet, but it feels like it will stand up to a lot of use.

I bought this Magnum to replace a broken Smith & Wesson CKG110S (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0021SASZQ/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details) that was previously my everyday carry knife. I had some concerns about the S&W's reliability that were (unfortunately) warranted, and since I'd been thinking of buying something with a built-in seatbelt cutter and glass breaker anyway, I decided on the Magnum. I try to avoid Chinese products when possible, and didn't really feel better seeing the exact same knife being sold without the Boker logo, but the price and specs were right.

Right out of the box, this knife has some serious heft to it, as the G-10 grips are screwed to a metal frame. It's not the most comfortable, and the liner lock tab doesn't follow the contour of the handle when the knife is locked open, which I think could make for some uncomfortable prolonged use. The locking mechanism does feel quite secure though, and everything seems screwed together (Torx) tightly. The 440(A?) steel blade arrived sharp and the camo finish looks unique without being over-the-top. I usually prefer a 1/3 or 1/2 serrated blade for an EDC knife, but this knife is not offered in a serrated version. The glass breaker protrudes from the angled butt of the handle, which is a strange place for it, but I suppose this will allow for more of a hammering motion. The seatbelt cutter notch/blade isn't very big, but is par for the course on a knife this size.

All in all, this looks and feels like a sturdy knife, and well worth the purchase price. I'll post updates to this review after I've had it a while.

UPDATE 1/9/12: United Cutlery is now selling their version of this knife for under five dollars - model UC8007 "United Edge Camo Rescue Knife" - which translates to right around half the price, although the shipping is a little more. While I feel that it is nice enough to justify spending a little more regardless of brand name, half price is half price no matter how you slice it. (Yes, pun intended.) Also, I wanted to add that this knife is just a little too big and bulky for EDC, so I keep it in my car and use something lighter with a thumb-assist tab for quicker opening as my EDC.

This knife feels very solid and rugged. I don't mind the weight I like a strong knife.
I got this for an every day knife. Will do most things I need. And if it is lost I can order another.

This knife looks great, is well balanced and performs perfectly. Bought as a gift for my husband and he could not be happier! I highly reccomend it.

this is a grate kinfe i have olny had it for a month but it is amazing i have used it so many times and i love it it is just the right weight and holds a good edge

It does as advertised. It's a knife that cuts, folds, rescues and it does all those VERY well. It is on the heavy side, but that is the price you pay for safety kids.
If you're looking for a SHARP, reliable and good looking knife, you can't beat this price.
