This is an exact copy of a S&W neck knife. Mine is branded Maxam. Bought it on impulse for a few bucks.

Amazingly, it's good for what it is. It's made of fairly thin (but stiff) stock and beveled only on one side, so the edge angle is quite acute. Once you refine the edge a bit, it cuts very well. Many of these square "tantos" are tough blunt instruments for hammering through walls, floors, stumps, and what have you. Not this one. It's more of a cutter.

The sheath is very secure Kydex or similar. A good push with the thumb unsheaths the knife with no problem. Nice feel to the handle even though it's a skeleton.

The grind is accurately executed. Very surprising!

The steel is 420J2, a bottom-end knife-grade stainless in terms of hardness and edge-retention, but good in terms of corrosion resistance and toughness. It will hold an edge OK, just not as well as a higher-carbon steel. And in my experience, this common Chinese 420 steel is impossible to break. Dent or bend, maybe. Chip or break, doubtful.

The S&W is probably made of 440C, a better steel in terms of edge holding.

I wanted to laugh derisively at this knife. It's so incredibly cheap, and this "tanto" profile is far from my favorite, and black coatings are bogus. But hey, I can't find anything really wrong with the thing. At this price you can get 5 and give them to friends.

Great little knife, came razor sharp. The knife is very consealing and you would never even know if you were wearing it. Great for handy work or protection. Over all great buy.

This small knife is sharp out of box.
I got 2 from another website for $2 each + shipping.
I want to practice for knife trowing with this cheap knife.
Good quality and good balance.
Handle little bit hard for throwing but good grip for cutting.
Easy to sharpening 420 steel is good for the price.
I feel too small for my hand (I'm 5'5" tall) not recommend for big hand.
Sheath good secure locking and deploy.
Not bad at all If you can find in cheap price.

Okay i have had mine now for over two years. It still hangs in the sheath snug and does not ever fall out. It actually gets better with use. I have sharpened it multiple times and it always is like brand new. I use this in my construction job for cutting, drawing lines, marking, prying (flatbar), and even a backer for a drill bit not to hit concrete. There are multiple uses, then I wear it regularly for protection. I love this knife and bought a bunch for friends and co-workers. Dont believe anyone who discredits this knife, its a steal and a fine choice in whats to offer on amazon.

Great little knife came sharp. The knife is very concealing and you would never even know if you were wearing it. Although you might have to adjust the neck tie it was a little too long for me, especially if your going to be sitting for long periods of time.

The lanyard is too long, but that's fixed with a good knot. Great feel, very light, keeps an edge pretty well

Its an ok knife i have to say its pretty crappy knife also, You have to sand down the part where you put your finger because its pretty sharp and the blade is not as sharp as i heard in the reviews and the black coating on the blade is poorly done, there are bubble spots all over it so im thinking about taking that off also and it doesnt come with the link chain as in the picture its just a string i was really expecting the knife to be like around 5 bucks for how it is and it is also made in china.....

Only con I have is that the flat side makes it hard to sharpen with certain types, specifically the drag-through type of sharpener. Other than that this little knife is great. I wear it all the time.

For the money, it's a good knife.

It stays in the sheath very well; there's no risk of it falling out.
The lanyard isn't as nice as I'd like, but it's perfectly fine and should last a long while. It won't snap or anything.
The knife came quite dull, but after a couple of minutes with a diamond sharpener it made a good edge.
The black paint or whatnot on the knife scratches off easily, so if you're getting this for the looks, remember that. The grips are a little sharp (they're just dull enough not to cut), but I assume they'll wear down quickly with use.

For being something made of mostly plastic, and at $10, it's a good deal.

the product was here quick but the blade was bent at the tip and the sheath was broke. i am not happy with it.
