I was pleasantly surprised at how well made these knives are for the money. The knife is relatively thin so it fits inside my pants at the hip without any problem. They have an assist opening that I have mastered in a very short time. The blade is very sharp and seems to hold it's edge. I can easily cut open tie-wraps with the cutter in the handle. It also will cut 550 paracord but it works best on the tie-wraps. I haven't tried the glass breaker but it seems like it would work fine. I liked these so much I bought two more. Can't beat the price and they compete nicely with higher end knives.

I have had these knives for 2 months know. I received them in great condition, and after daily use they are in decent shape with no defects. I would buy them again

I ordered this set on the recommendation of a friend. He uses one as an EDC. I thought why not give it a shot. They are a little bigger than I am used to for my EDC knives, so I am keeping them for desk top and handy knives and will find a little smaller EDC for myself. They are definitely very sharp out of the box, so be careful!!! I would say they need to have a dot of thread locker on the main screw holding them together... they loosen up easily. I would recommend them for someone needing a heavy duty knife!

when i first got these, i was happy. but a few months later, im pretty disappointed.

Mtech seems to have hit and miss quality. some of their products are golden, while others are garbage. one of these knives has turned into complete s***. The washers and pivot screw holding the blade in place keep coming loose. The pivot screw itself doesnt have great quality. the only allen wrench i had that fit was somehow able to destroy the indentations that allowed it to grip and tighten. i wasnt using much force either.

I ordered this product because it was a set of 2. For 2 knives this was a good price. If I only wanted a single knife I would've ordered one with a special design for the same price. When it arrived I was disappointed to find out I only got one when it clearly states that there are 2 knives in the description as well as in the title.

Are they the highest quality knives ever? No. Do they get the job done for a reasonable price? Absolutely. My favorite knife is the Smith & Wesson SWATMBS Swat Medium Serrated Assisted Opening Knife, Black. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00137EWYE/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

However, that knife runs in the $25 range and the assist open makes it illegal in some states. For the price, these are good knives. I waited a few months with one knife at my bedside and one jiggling around in my purse. Neither one has had any issues such and losing screws and what not. I haven't tested the window breaker and seatbelt cutter, but I have had other knives with them and these don't seem to be as high quality as the others. They may work, but I wouldn't trust my life to them, having seen the professional ones that are available.

If you need a back up knife, though, give them a shot.

I have had one of these for about a year carrying it daily and using it often. It was fairly sharp out of the box and with a little wet stone work I got a great edge on it and it has held a very good edge since. I liked it so much i bought two more just in case it brakes on me but I am not sure if I will ever need it as rugged as the first was seems to be.

When I first got this knife, I was incredibly pleased and I echo all the positive reviews already here. No need to repeat them. The problem is that the screws that hold the knife together have loosened and it's starting to fall apart. I've managed to stay on top of the problem by tightening the screws every week, but one screw went unnoticed and is now lost. I also don't know where I would find a replacement screw because it's a non-standard item.

The knife is still usable, but I'm expecting to lose more screws over time and this will eventually turn this great knife into a paperweight. I recommend that if you do get this knife, that you remove all screws, apply some loctite to the threads and reassemble.

So, all in all, an amazing knife value, but long term durability is seriously in question.
