I use this on my carbon seatpost. I've ride in over 1K miles since I used it and the seaatpost did not slip once. My comparison, before I applied this product, I had to re-position and re-tighten my seatpost on EVERY ride.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff for securing a sliding seatpost, March 5, 2012

I could not get a chromoly (Nitto) seatpost to stop slipping in the frame (Ti with an insert), being careful not to overtorque the binder bolt. After about a 100 mile ride, the seatpost had slipped about an inch down. I took out the post and cleaned everything, then put a thin layer of this Tacx carbon paste on the post and inside of the seat tube, and tightened the binder bolt to specs with a torque wrench. No further slipping after 350 miles. Highly recommended.

Better texture than a more widely available competitor and easy to apply. Say goodbye to slipping interfaces and odious creaks.

We had a boom on a sport trike that kept slipping, regardless of how much we tightened it. The Tacx fixed it. Well worth buying.

I was getting a clicking noise from my carbon bike when I pedaled. After reading about several possible reasons for this, I guessed that the noise was coming from my seatpost. I applied the Tacx compound to my seatpost and inserted it into the seat tube smoothly with no issues (In another review, someone said they had to apply effort when inserting the seatpost due to the grabbing power of Tacx). I no longer have the clicking noise so Tacx worked for me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Paste, August 19, 2009

This is a great compound to use on those carbon parts of the bike where you do not want to clamp down too hard on. It has stopped my carbon seat tube from sliding down on my Cervelo Soloist and the screws feel like they take less torque to tighten. Great product for high end bicycles.

The Tacx Dynamic Carbon Bicycle Assembly compound is great. It should be used to increase friction between a carbon components and the clamping part. I used it on my seat post (carbon post/carbon frame) and handle bars (carbon bars to alloy clamp). Tacx increases friction and allowed me to use less than maximum torque to secure components. No slipage to date. It is a great product. Use a small amount to increase friction for improved carbon component life.

5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff really works on Carbon, November 16, 2008

If you've ever had issues with carbon seat posts slipping or 'creaking' then this is the stuff for you. Smear this over everything carbon and the increased friction will prevent slippage. Also works to prevent 'creaks' while riding. I have also used it with a Carbon steerer tube / aluminum stem to prevent creaking. Very similar to the FSA carbon assembly lube (but not exactly the same) and seems to work just as well. 80 grams is probably a lifetime supply for me.
