Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

Our award-winning CD-ROM includes:

- The eight Tae Geuk forms, performed to World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) standards by Master Jung Ho Kim, 6th Dan. Master Kim coached a U.S. Olympic Gold Medal winner in Tae Kwon Do. Each form can be viewed from:

* Front or side view, in full-motion, slow-motion, or frame by frame.

* Each individual step within a form is indexed and can be accessed immediately through a menu selection.

- 44 technique video - (stances, strikes, blocks, and kicks) may be viewed from:

* Front or a side view, in full-motion, or frame by frame.

- Narrated, Slow Motion Form Videos. The computer will call out the steps to a form for you, with unending patience, as you learn.

- The videos may all be played either embedded, or zoomed to fullscreen dimension, at full-motion speeds! Videotapes do not offer these features, at any price, and an instructor simply does not have the time, or patience, to provide the reinforcement training you need to master your art. Our CD-ROM does and will. It never gets tired, or impatient, and it is always available to you

- Written Study Guides - Each form and technique includes a complete written technical description of how to properly perform what you are learning. Each study guide may be printed for use in your training.

- Form Diagram Graphics - Each form has a colorful, and easy to understand, overhead graphic depicting the movement flow of each form.

- Native Terminology - Listen to the correct pronunciation of over 80 of the most common terms of Tae Kwon Do, spoken by Master Jung Ho Kim, in his native Korean. By simply clicking on a button that has the word, or phrase, written on it in English and Korean, you can learn quickly and easily the terminology of Tae Kwon Do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic program! Highly recommeded!, February 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Tae Geuk: The Forms of Tae Kwon Do (CD-ROM)
Great way to learn the Tae Geuk forms, but this program contains far more than the forms. I found the spoken terminology to be worth the price of the disc alone.

The best part are the slow motion videos. They are narrated and allow you plenty of time to work thru the forms as the narrator talks. You don't even have to be looking at the monitor since the description of what to do from step to step is so clear.

I also like the ability to print out the step by step guides to the forms, so that I can work on my forms away from the computer.

Overall, a really excellent program for learning Tae Kwon Do.

This review is from: Tae Geuk: The Forms of Tae Kwon Do (CD-ROM)
This CD is a great thing! The students can grow up their knowledge faster! Falses that the teacher makes ....the CD doesn't make!....Details that the teacher forgets the CD doesn't forget!...The movements between steps and positions are hidden in pictures....but not in this CD! It's like you have your own teacher at home....and only this reason worths too much! I am finishing the University now (Physical Education and Athletics) with speciality in TaeKwonDo and I can say that this CD worths all of it's money! Don't hesitate to order it....and in mind that I have no profit from this!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple to use and full of details., April 22, 1999

This review is from: Tae Geuk: The Forms of Tae Kwon Do (CD-ROM)
I've only been doing Tae Kwon Do for about 3 months and I'm currently 8th Gup. I have found this CD-ROM to be a great resource for learning the Tae Geuk forms. Each video has a Front and Side view which is nice when viewing the moves that are hard to see from certain angles. The voice-overs are very clear and detailed. Highly recommended for any level!
