I bought this as a suprise gift for my wife. She loves it. She's not a big fan of counter top accessories so I wondered if I was going to strike out. The cookie jar does not take up much space and it doesn't look like a kitchen appliance. The rubber gasket helps keep the cookies fresh. It's not a big container, however, it's just right for our family. This turned out to be a good risky gift.
