I have ordered from this company several times now and have been consistently impressed with the quality of their vanilla beans. At first I almost decided against ordering from them because the price point seemed askew, but after the first time I ordered I was hooked and started telling my family about them. The beans are plump, moist, and keep well for months in a glass jar; they also make excellent hostess gifts, wrapped in waxed paper and tied with a silk ribbon. I have high standards for everything I purchase, but hold exacting standards for all food items as food is what fuels our bodies and I think it's important that our family has high quality food/fuel/energy. Simply put: I will never order vanilla beans from anywhere else!

All the vanilla beans I've ordered from Amazon have been good quality. Fat and moist and flavorful. Also less expensive than the store by a longshot. I don't get vanilla beans anywhere else anymore. I store them in glass canning jars tightly lidded with a little sugar added and they last a long time. I don't refrigerate them, but I guess you could.
