Performs just like higher priced models,

I have my own landscape business and my experience with a friends Tahoe sprayer led me to purchase this sprayer which is the same model I borrowed. It performed the same as my Sixty dollar sprayer that I purchased from a local retailer over a year ago. The action the tank handle and sprayer is right on par with my more expensive sprayer. My only complaint would be in regards to the shoulder straps, they have a weird method of attachment but I just tied it around the metal part on the bottom and it works just fine. Bottom line if you buy this you'll like it. I was surprised that it didn't feel cheap as with a lot of low end equipment I've run into in the past.
rev. 8/18 Near the end of the life of the old one the gasket seal on the top started to leak a little, this made it leak from the vibration in the back of my truck. For about $20 more this backpack sprayer is a little better, and it doesn't leak from the top even after owning it for some time ---> Stanley 61804N Professional Backpack Poly 4-Gallon Sprayer.

Tahoe Backpack Garden Sprayer - You Get what you pay for,

I ordered this only after reading the rave reviews her on Amazon for this inexpensive sprayer. Let me first say that I've had dealings with this company in the past and I'd rate the company that is selling this sprayer on Amazon - A1. I also am a person who is the head over the ground maintenance dept. for a small school system and I've purchased quite a lot of different back packs sprayers for our crews to use at the 13 buildings and 8 sports fields that we have. As with everyone today, the school system is always looking for ways to cut costs. I purchased this sprayer for my own personal use at home thinking that if it was as good as the reviews say that it is, then I'd purchase a half a dozen of them for the school system. Well, overall I'd give this sprayer a D on a scale of A thru F for the following reasons. (A being the highest).
1.) The screw on area where the top cap on the sprayer screws onto the tank had one extra bit of plastic thread that ran over into the sealing area between the cap and the tank. Before the cap could be screwed onto the tank I had to file down that bulge so that the tank had a flat surface for the cap's gasket to seal against the tank. Not a big deal but until I did file it down the tank/cap would not seal and you could not build air pressure in the tank. Even after I got it to seal and hold air pressure, if you tilt the tank (easy to do with a full load of chemical mixture) fluid leaks around the cap. Not a good thing if you happen to be using some sort of a contaminant that you don't want on your flesh. To resolve the issue I placed the tank on top of a roll around garbage can so that I did not have to tilt the tank to get it on my back. Otherwise I'd of had herbicide all over me. 2.) The handle on the sprayer that you use to pump up the air pressure just slips over a rod with no way to retain it on the rod. I suppose this was done so that the pump handle could be moved from left to right easily. But during spraying my 1 1/2 acres of grass at home the handle would continously come off and it wasn't easy to put the handle back over the rod while wearing the tank because the rod is behind you. That meant having to find the garbage can again so that I didn't tilt the aprayer and leak fluid and then taking the sprayer off, re-fitting the handle, etc. As a solution I drilled a 1/4" hole trhough the handle and the rod and put a cotter pin in it so the handle is now semi-permanently affixed. Not a big deal but something you ought to consider. 3.) As stated by other reviews, the straps on the backpack really are poorly designed. The main thing is that the thumb hooks that are used to connect the strap to the support frame are very weak. The very first time that I set the sprayer down the thinness of the thumb retaing catch bent so that the strap fell off. The strap catch/latch also does not swivel which means that it's a constant battle to keep the strap from twisting up. The padding on the straps are worthless, especially if you are going to be wearing the back pack like I was - for more than 4 hours straight. Like I said, you get ewhat you pay for. 4.) On the plus side, if you are a homeowner and you only want a sprayer 2 or 3 times a year this should suit your needs if you have the time to fiddle with it. I was looking for it to be maybe more than that for the school system that I work for. If I bought a bunch of these sprayers for those guys, guys that do this sort of thing day in and day out, I have a feeling that most of them would wind up throwing them in the creek (accidentally of course ;)) or they'd somehow get ran over by some mystery mad man. They would simply get tired of being dripped on, strangled and having to constantly be fixing the design flaws of this piece of equipment. That is why I'd give this little sprayer a D rating. Oh, one more thing. It's being sold as a four gallon sprayer. If you do buy one and it leaks when you tilt it to put it on your back, try putting in just 3 gallons. That's all the tank is rated for on the scale on the side of the tank anyway. Therefore, in my opinion, it really is just a 3 gallon tank. The sprayer comes with an assortment of spray tips (4) and what looks to be a complete set of replacement gaskets and washers for the sprayer. That's a good thing, especially if the sprayer is going to be sitting around most of the time. (Seal like that tend to dry rot when not used regularly). So I'll live with this one that I bought for myself - (at least for a while) but I won't be buying anymore of them. At forty bucks if it proves to be too much of a hastle - well- I do have a creek running through one side of my property. Nah, I wouldn't do that. The darn think probably would float very long. 5.) Have a blessed day..

I really like the Tahoe sprayer. It is a very good sprayer for the money. It is large capacity and comes with several nozzles for different spraying options. I use it for spraying brush around my fenceline, and just strap it on the back of my 4-wheeler and pump away! It cleans up easily.

This is a great sprayer! First let me say, 3 reviews here complain that the straps had to be tied to the metal frame at the bottom of the sprayer, NOT TRUE! The bottom of the straps have a thumb clasp.. they DO NOT hook to the frame. On the lower sides of the white container, just above where the pump handle attaches, is a flange with a cut out in it. THAT is where the straps attach. It is very obvious, attaches in seconds, and stay attached. I have had no problems with the pump handle staying attached while in use, but i just pump it, I don't pull out on it while in use (or of course it will come off) The review that said the lid did not seal properly because of a piece of plastic, should of contacted the company for a new one as that one was defective. I have had no problem with the lid. I would highly recommend this sprayer to anyone that is looking for a backpack sprayer.

This sprayer works as well as the more expensive sprayers, but you will need to tie the bottom portion of the straps to the metal frame for ease of use. Sprayer arrived with a broken handle on the wand. Called Customer service at Hardware Sales and they sent a new one out by FedEx. Did not have to return broken part and no arguments. Wish all sellers had that kind of customer service they are the best. Would recommend this sprayer to anyone that wants a backpack sprayer.

Works great and did exactly what I wanted it to. 10x better than buying those stupid 1 gallon containers with built on sprayers.
I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend all day picking weeds & having a sore back from other pump handheld sprayers

Wow, I ordered this sprayer not knowing what it would be like at the low price but I love it. The horehound was taking over my 5 acres and a hudsen sprayer wasn't cutting it. This sprayer is great!

Great sprayer - worthless straps,

I like the sprayer; pumping it up is a little ackward but I'd rate the sprayer four or five stars. The straps that come with it though would be hard pressed to be rated one star. A fully loaded sprayer weighs 32 pounds; you need heafty wide straps to carry the load comfortably. Like what you'd expect on a Kelty backback for example. The ones that come with it are way too narrow and cut into you with a full load.
After one use I ordered two professional straps that I adapted. They cost almost as much as the sprayer, but my shoulders appreciate it.

I just received this sprayer about an hour ago. Unpacked it and put it together (if you want to call it that) in seconds. I adjusted the shoulder straps, added my chemicals and water and off I went. For the past two years I have borrowed a $100+++ backpack sprayer. This sprayer is every bit as good as the expensive one I have borrowed. Straps are super simple and secure. Lid is very tight and sealed and the unit as a whole preformes outstanding!! I might even buy another to put away for when I might need another. EXTREMELY PLEASED!!!!!!Tahoe Backpack Garden/Lawn/Weed/Pest Sprayer 4 Gal Gallon
