5.0 out of 5 stars The best tape for the tai chi beginner
There are not many tapes on the market that can be followed as easy as this one. From the extensive warm-up to the lecture on feeling the Chi, I was able to do everything in my first try. This, more westernized approach to the art of Tai Chi Chi Kung should be perfect for everyone. I just loved it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Tai Chi Chi Kung
I own a large selection of Tai Chi and Qigong videos. This is by far the worst. Daniel has thought of some movements that have an "oriental" feel to them and has named them "Tai Chi Chi Kung 18 forms". It is certainly not "Tai Chi Chi Kung 18 forms" as taught by Michael Tse, for example. Daniles' demostration of the Yang Style Short form is...

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor video quality detracts from possibly good content, November 10, 2000

This review is from: T'ai Chi for Everyone : The 18 Steps of T'ai Chi Chi Kung [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The VHS copy I purchased (new) at Amazon has the viewing quality of a third or fourth generation dub, and a production quality not much better than that. Maybe it's due to the fact that I watch most of my media on DVD or S-VHS, and watch them both on a large rear-projection screen. Regardless, I found it difficult, even painful to watch something that looks worse than "America's Best Home Video" (or whatever they call it these days). Perhaps the master was made on a low-quality VHS camera. Or maybe "NRG Works", the production company, uses low quality VHS decks to burn duplicates. Whatever the reason, I recommend passing on this and looking for something that's easier on the eyes. Exactly what, I have yet to determine (c:

Just a great tape. I had no idea how relaxing T'ai Chi (Chi Kung) can be till I tried this video. The amazing part is that you have a full body workout and a lot of heat and sweat during that relaxation! I am hooked!

For an unknown T'ai Chi instructor Mr.Daniel does an excellent job. The tape is easy to follow and is very understandable. I warmly recommend it to all who wish to feel better about themselves!

We bought this tape to learn Tai Chi. Upon viewing it, we found the tape to be very poor quality. It had the same appearance of a home movie. Blurred, bad sound. DON'T BUY IT! This tape is a waste of money even if it was a good quality tape because all the narrator did was ramble on, like listening to a poor imitation of a "Kung Fu" episode on tv, while the demonstrator did his moves, and there was no instruction for quite some time. We need a hands on tape so we're ordering Tai Chi, 6 Forms, 6 Easy lessons. Don't waste your money on this one!
