Mostly you see the woman doing her Tai Chi, you don't receive much instruction. It is hard to see her feet while she is standing in the grass and in front of mirrors that cut her reflection off just below the knees.

For anyone looking to learn the basics of tai chi form and movement, Tricia Yu's DVD is perfect ... her instruction is clear and beautifully demonstrated in the DVD. You get both a front and back view of all movements, which really assists in learning the form! This particular form (Fundamentals) is also great. It focuses on the basic movement patterns of tai chi and really helps beginners (and experienced tai chi practitioners) learn proper alignment and refine their form.

A Complete Basic Form,

I first learned the basics of this form many years ago at Naropa Institute, but I was not successful in finding teachers in my area. So I studied other Tai Chi Forms. This version has now allowed me to pick up the fundamentals of the Cheng Man Cheng form. It is the best form for energy circulation. This Fundamental Form is very short but it includes most of the major moves of the original form. Tricia is a very good teacher. She does not expect a student to actually learn the form from the video alone, but I had no trouble in re-learning the form that I had not practiced in many years.

I greatly appreciated Tricia Yu's well-produced video of easy to follow forms. rare to find a tai chi videowhere all forms are shown from front and back, even with mirrors, at your pace. packed with easy to use video links to pick up where you left off or to review, back and forth with ease. a great buy!

This DVD was one of my favorite purchases. I was interested in trying Tai Chi and I was impressed with the format of this particular workout. I would recommend this program for anyone who has never done it before. Every move was broken down one at a time and then put together at the end so that you can move with the instructer. It's slow enough to where you can't get behind.
