This review is from: Tai Chi Secrets of the Wu Style: Chinese Classics, Translations, Commentary (Paperback)
This is a must have for everyone who is willing to diligently study, and practice Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan. The book provides the transalation of the classics as well as the Masters interpretation and elaboration. I believe that without a thorough understanding of the theories underneath, one's skill can never prosper. Very useful book!

Probably NOT all that useful to the beginner, but certainly to the intermediate and advanced student -- even to those practicing styles other than Wu. For those of you who haven't looked at these translations from Yang J-M, they are worth the trouble for all the little corners of insight your practice alone -- and your own traditional texts alone -- won't provide.

This book is an awesome introduction to researching and understanding the Classic Treatise of Feng, Wang, Yang, Chen, Sun and Li. What applies to the Wu style of Taiji Quan also applies to all styles of Internal Boxing and this book provides an insight that is succinct and absorbable. I am a Yang and Wu Stylist who had already researched, applied and analyzed the wisdoms found in this book. Even so, I found the construction of answer/question portions of the book very useful to spark my memory on basic details that every adept should have in the fore-front of his mind when practicing.Buy the book... It is worth it if you are rying to refine and cultivate your peronal expression of Taiji Quan. The Art of Western Tai Chi Ch'uan: The Supreme Ultimate & Sweet Science Of Boxing With 10 Limbs |
