Enjoyable Soundtrack, July 8, 2009
This review is from: The Tai-chi Master: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
If you have the 2008 Dragon Dynasty DVD, this is the music from the version of the movie that is in Chinese and has many selections and themes not heard on the version that is dubbed into English. Includes the choral music from the opening and closing credits that is not heard at all on the English-dubbed version. The music is a mixture of western orchestral music and music that sounds more like traditonal Chinese instruments.
A booklet is included in the CD case with photos from the movie and additional information. However, except for about a dozen words, all information on the CD is in Chinese (no "subtitles"). The only small problem with this CD is that my copy is recorded at a lower volume than my other CD's, but it's easy to turn up the volume. Before purchasing this, I recommend that you listen to the music in the version of the movie that is not dubbed into English. If you like that music, it's a nice CD to have.
