Percussion, Japanese-style,

This review is from: Taiko to Tabla (Audio CD)
The opening cut of "Taiko to Tabla" is very traditional folk singing "Kokiriko Bushi" as sung by Hirota. The rest of the CD is drumming rather like Taiko, but including such percussion as cybals, gongs, bells, sampled sounds, and of course tabla and those booming big Japanese taiko drums. This is a good percussion CD, but it's also very Japanese-sounding despite the mix of cultures.
