"E-Tailing" is a great book for any business owner who wants to have a better understanding of electronic commerce. I have had a web site for three years, but now have a new understanding of the elements that create a stronger online presence. Bernadette Tiernan has successfully managed to address e-tailing in an easy-to-understand and comprehensive manner. I have specialized in business planning for many years and would advise every business teacher and student, and business owner to familiarize themselves with and utilize the concepts presented in "E-Tailing". Kudos for doing a great job of addressing a difficult subject.

Bernadette Tiernan has done a masterful job of organizing the very complicated and fluid subject of E-Tailing. The landscape of e-commerce shifts on an hourly basis but the fundamental elements of success identified and explained in Ms. Tiernan's book will not change. This book is a must read for any E-Tailing Entrepreneur. Even if you already have a website for you business I recommend reading this book if you want grow you business via the web.

As a non-business person, though a consumer, I found Tiernan's book helpful to learn the ins and outs of using the internet as a tool for both personal and professional retail use. It is readable and easily understood so that you can put it to use.

Clearly conveys the opportunities of online retailing. I found chapter 6 (10 steps of implementation), chapter 10 (security) and an appendix full of accessible resources to be most valuable.

Among other books I have purchased on E-trade, I found E-tailing to be the best no-nonsense guide in taking you from basics to the full e-trade business set up. I strongly recommend this book for managers who are considering to put their businesses on line and want to get a foothold on the subject. The book informs well in what steps to take and expected areas that will need to be tackled along the way.

Once again Bernadette Tiernan has taken a complex and potentially daunting subject, albeit one that many professionals consider vital, and presents it to us in a clear, organized, enlightened manner. As the Director of a radio-reading service designed to inform individuals with vision or mobility impairments, and the producer and host of a weekly business broadcast, it is imperative that my resources are timely, topical, thorough and clear. Ms. Tiernan's book is all that, and more. I strongly recommend it.

Intimidating issues concerning the e-commerce revolution are resolved for small business owners when they follow Tiernan's insightful directions and explanations. My responsibility as coordinator of Project Entrepreneur is to assist people who wish to transition into self-employment. It is with confidence that I recommend e-tailing as the perfect companion to their e-business adventures.

I was looking for a book that could tell me how to start selling on the Internet, and this wasn't it. If you have $100,000.00 to start an e-commerce this may be the book for you. It will explain how things should work, but not what you should do to start them.

Bernadette Tiernan's e-tailing will teach the reader, step-by-step, how to incorporate e-commerce into his or her business plan. Readers will be able to offer their Internet customers optimal service at minimal risk, and implement techniques that are unique to Internet business transactions. Tiernan draws upon the real-life examples of Internet commerce failures and successes from such companies as The Gab, CBS, Levi Srauss & Co. Yahoo!, and others. e-tailing is very highly recommended reading for anyone seeking to do effective, efficient, and profitable retail business on the Internet.

Ms. Tiernan has written a very helpful guide for this exploding segment of the American economy. I found her insights into incorporating e- commerce into an established business to be enormously useful. I'm using some of her suggestions to create an e-tailing platform in a multi-branch national distribution network.
