"I read about this book in a newspaper article. Wow! If this is Alister Jak's first novel, then he is a phenomenon. You do not have to be a horror fan to really enjoy Tainted Lake. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I read it in about five hours, and I loved it. I'd recommend it to anyone."

Tainted Lake is an excellent read. The author's vivid descriptions of both scenes and character moods gives the reader
the sense of participation with the characters. Being an experienced scuba diver the author has done his homework. The multiple plots of the story are complexly interwoven and requires the reader's full attention start to finish. I have personally read this book twice cover to cover and actually enjoyed it more the second time. This is an excellent investment of your reading dollar.

This book was recommended to me and was a great read. I normally don't do horror novels but this was an easy read and a great effort

Tainted Lake will hold your interest start to finish. It is a complex story which requires the readers full attention. It's a pleasant surprise to find a new author in the horror market. This is definitely not your "run of the mill" horror story. I'm looking forward to Alister Jak's next novel. It can't get to the market too soon.

I was immediately drawn into the story & intrigued by the direction it took. The plot was developed in a way that kept me from being able to predict what was going to happen. The book had me gripped in fear.I had to put it down several times to reduce the intensity of what I was feeling. I had a great time reading it!

I've just recently finished this book. Yes, there are some things that are not "great" about it. The dialoug sometimes is forced and other times the "lovey dovey" dialoug is hurried and not fleshed out. With those being the ONLY two things I found wrong with book it's an EXCELLENT read. There are scenes in there that give me goosebumps when I REMEMBER reading them! Not to mention the delicious fear I experienced when I was reading the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and if you like to be scared, you will too.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading a book quickly because it's hard to put down.
I have always enjoyed being scared. If you do, you'll enjoy this book. Alister Jak certainly made his mark with this one.

This was a fun read. The author's description of characters made them feel like you knew them and they were very likeable. Moved along at a good pace and made you want to keep reading until you were finished! Refreshing change of venue for a ghost story!

You do not need to be a scuba diver to like this book, the most I have done is snorkling and was completely aware of what was happening. I bought 2 books, one for myself and one for a brother as a Christmas gift. This would make a great book on tape or movie. Cannot wait until his next book.

The author has a grasp of not only the unnatural but also the ins and outs of scuba diving. This is a very good book that is "user friendly" in that you can read it in five or six hours. He also has the abiity to write as if he is speaking to you which enables you to maintain a constant interest. I enjoyed reading it and I highly recommend it.
