The musubi press was just what I expected. It arrived quickly. Unfortunately it broke the first time I used it but when I contacted Lucca they promptly sent me a replacement. The replacement works perfectly and I am very happy with it. I really like the large size because I can use full sheets of nori and don't have to cut them in half. I can crank out spam musubi like a professional now!

I bought two of these musubi makers as one was for my granddaughter. We were raised in Hawaii so making spam musubi was fun and enjoyable. Prompt service. Mahalo

This sushi maker made double the spam musubi in half the time! No need to cut the seaweed paper and works well with soy paper varieties too.

I bought this sushi maker because of the clean lines, easy to clean. The small, fancy triangles and bamboo rolls get gross after just a few uses. They are hard to clean as rice starch gets into the nooks and crannies and yuk! This one is easily cleaned, you can see the interior in case you are short on rice, etc. Good product.

I bought 2 of these sushi makers, one for my grandson and one for me. We both love making Spam Musubi and these are perfect for the job. The price was very reasonable.

Works well for spam musubi or any pressed sushi. It's slightly longer than a normal piece of nori so you have some that hangs over if you want the nori to completely cover your Musubi/sushi, but it still works really well and makes the musubi twice as fast as a normal one. Recommended.

First off, it's not nonstick so the rice starts to stick to the mold if you're not really careful. Also it is a little long and narrow for making spam musubi. Overall, it's not too bad though.

This is the perfect musubi maker. I love that it's long enough to fit the whole sheet of nori. It makes it easy to make musubi without having to cut the nori first. It works as it should and you just have to wet it to help prevent the rice from sticking to it. Marukai also sells this though so if you have one by you and are a member then it would be cheaper getting it there.

I bought two of these when my small one just wasn't making enough masubi fast enough!

So a couple of surprises:

1. These are not as TALL as my short ones.

Which means you can't stack as much material HIGH UP. But you know, it didn't bother me nearly as much as I thought. You just eat more masubi. =)

2. Not machine washable

How is ANYTHING not dish-washer approved these days? But apparently the acrylic will melt if you put them in the washer, so don't do it!

Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it to any family who eats lots of masubi like we do!!!
