My toddler will not put it down!
My son, 17 months old, has become increasingly interested in trains so I bought him this one a few days ago. He hasn't put it down since. He constantly carries it wherever he goes and pitches a fit if you try to take it from him. He loves hearing the noises it makes either by using the button on top or pushing it all over the floor. Happy to Find...!
I was happy to find this Thomas item for my grandson's birthday in March. Stores and other websites no longer had them in stock. He likes the sounds these engines make, and they pack into his little carry along set very well.

My son, 17 months old, has become increasingly interested in trains so I bought him this one a few days ago. He hasn't put it down since. He constantly carries it wherever he goes and pitches a fit if you try to take it from him. He loves hearing the noises it makes either by using the button on top or pushing it all over the floor.
NOTE: The "Take Along Thomas & Friends" trains are not compatible with the standard wooden tracks. The wheels are smaller and the width between the wheels is much narrower to fit on the standard tracks. You can purchase track sets that do work with the "take along" trains, seperately. We purchased a track set and it's cute but I think it's a little too mature for my little one. He doesn't understand the concept of pushing the train around the track, yet. And the trains do tend to come off easily from the plastic track. Definitely, the age recommendation is correct for the train track sets - 3 years and older. But I think the trains are okay for younger toddlers as long as they are supervised in case one of the wheels were to come off.

This was such a BIG hit with my almost 2, great grandson, at Christmas, that we had a hard time getting him to open other gifts. He is absolutely absorbed by anything of Thomas the Engine! GREAT GIFTS WITH THOMAS!!!!
