Great toy, but a bit tricky to do the tracks for a 3 year old.
My 3 year old son has fun with it, but is unable to play with it on his own. I am constantly fixing the tracks for him.

Didn't really seem worth the price
I ordered this for my nephew's Christmas present. When it arrived, I was underwhelmed. Just one railroad car and a few track segments. It did look nicely made and attractively packaged; but I expected a little more for [...]. I suppose the expectation is that you'll buy multiple Thomas sets, I just don't have lots of money for that.
