5.0 out of 5 stars Work and well-being
This book does a terrific job of explaining how you can not only enhance your work performance but also enjoy it and enable you to live happy, contented and healthy life. Using simple and easy to follow writing style, Paul Hannam and John Selby distils this subject into simple, practical, take-away messages, that if adopted, can significantly change your outlook on work...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth my time - too much selling of the book inside the book.
This book isn't for most people that consider themselves sharp to start with. I thought it was a bunch of useless fluff for the first huge chunk of the book - and it didn't get too much deeper beyond that. It's okay if you can get past that, but it's tuff to not dislike it beyond the self selling properties.

5.0 out of 5 stars Self-improvement ideas that deliver, May 15, 2006
This review is from: Take Charge of Your Mind: Core Skills to Enhance Your Performance, Well-Being, and Integrity at Work (Hardcover)
I read this book, since I seek tools for self-improvement. "Control your mind, and you control your reality."

I first surveyed numerous other candidates, which I found complex and convoluted.

This book provides a straight-forward, non-secular approach from which any reader can quickly gain the benefits of a peaceful, focused mind. The authors demonstrate that you can achieve this mind-state, anywhere, and anytime. I find these tools very useful.

You will enjoy reading the book, but moreover, you will carry its learned tools forward: control your mind, and you control your reality...it works!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sound advice and a beautifully designed book, July 9, 2006

This review is from: Take Charge of Your Mind: Core Skills to Enhance Your Performance, Well-Being, and Integrity at Work (Hardcover)
John Selby will be on our radio show in July. During the our interviews together I found that this book is only a small amount to his wisdom. I read many books every week. I found the organization of the book to be easy to read, easy to understand, which also allows you to follow the information in making changes that you want to do in your life. The information he exchanges is from experience and practical. It does work. You need to get this book. It is a must read. If you are in the personal development feed it is definitely a book that will help you make profound changes in others. And then it is a bigger MUST have.
