I originally heard and saw the video for this song on "BET After Dark". It has a nice vibe to it, and a great single to launch Amerie's new album that is coming soon. I notice that the record labels are offering preview singles on LP again. I am assuming it's for club DJs that are still spinning vinyl. It doesn't seem to be available on CD single. I still buy LPs, and never stopped. I have listened to this single on a Technics 1200, with a Shure V15, Type 5 cartridge. The sound quality is very clear and warm. The output isn't cranked up like on CDs, which is all good to me. Some LP singles have a high volume output on them nowadays, and the sound isn't any better. In fact, it's worse because it shows up in a distorted sounding recording, especially in the bass. There are 3 versions of "Take Control" (main, instrumental & acappella) On the flipside, there is the song "That's What UR", which is really good too. If you are more into singles, than purchasing a full album of an artist, like I am, then you will enjoy both songs offered on this 12" single.
