5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing is Not Enough, May 31, 2009

This review is from: Take Hold Of The Flame (Digital Remaster) (MP3 Download)
4 Vocal Octaves is what this song is about. That's 1/2 Octave more than Freddy Mercury could do. And actually, with a much clearer voice.
Although Geoff Tate uses head voice to reach these heights since he's actually a low pitch singer he's one of the few singers on his generation and of his genre to transmit so much emotion and motive to the songs he performs. Specially when he writes them or coauthors them.
The music slides between rythmically moving and motivating as any Stadium Anthem should be while still keeping that original Queensryche Melody that makes their songs enthrallingly memorable.
After you hear this Beast, the other songs that you like so much will never sound the same.
