About the Author

MARK A. HOLMEN is a national and international consultant and speaker for the Faith At Home movement, which equips congregations to make the home the primary place where faith is nurtured. Mark served as senior pastor of Ventura Missionary Church until 2009, when he stepped down in order to pursue full-time Faith At Home ministry. Mark and his wife, Maria, have been married for more than 18 years and have a daughter, Malyn.

 

DAVE TEIXEIRA has been ministering to families through the local church for over ten years. He currently serves as the Children, Youth & Family Pastor of Ventura Missionary Church in Ventura, California and is in the process of building an integrated family ministry at VMC. Dave not only works to help families pass on faith to their kids, he and his wife Amy have two kids.

If you've clicked on this book you've probably already heard Mark speak, or perhaps you've attended a D6 conference. If so, you already know that this will be helpful, well-organized material for training parents and families.

"Take It Home" is a comprehensive guide for churches and parents, showing pastors and ministry leaders how to equip parents to nourish and develop their children's faith. This package includes a CD and a variety of reproducible materials for leaders.

Great companion to Building Faith at Home. I love it when an author supplies you with not only the "whys" but also the "hows." Many of the milestone events in our faith journey are covered in this book, giving a great jumping off point for setting up your own events the way you want to do them or using ones you may not have thought of.
