We just love this series!!!,
By Jen B (VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Take Care, Good Knight (Hardcover)
My four year old girl has been enamored with dragons for a couple of years, and has lately gotten very interested in knights, castles, etc. I quickly found that there is very little out there that is appropriate for smaller children, on the subject of knights. Either the information is too complex, or more likely, too gruesome for my taste. When I discovered this sweet series, I immediately wanted all of them.
I really like the way the verses flow and how the author repeats the action over and over. So many rhyming books for kids sound awkward and forced, but not these. They are just wonderful! These are just fun books. I'm glad my library has them, but we are buying them too, so we can read them whenever we want! It is a refreshing angle to the knight and dragon relationship. Nearly everything else I found was adversarial, and since we love dragons, I was sorry about that. If you have a child who loves knights and dragons, also check out Tomie Paola's The Knight and the Dragon, about a knight reading up on how to fight dragons and a dragon reading up on how to fight knights. The "fight" is hilarious and the end has a clever twist that delighted my child and me too! The Reluctant dragon, by Kenneth Grahame, is either for an older child who can read, or a great read aloud that my four year old enjoyed, and there is a neat old Disney movie based on this book. We loved this too.

great story,
By Kerry S. "gen x'er" (Cleveland, Ohio United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Take Care, Good Knight (Hardcover)
My 3 almost turning 4 year old loves this story. It tells the adventures of 3 little dragons that agree to babysit the wizard's cats. Hilariously, the dragons do the best they can with the cats getting the worst of it (great for dog lovers!) Teaches right from wrong and reinforces how important it is to learn to read. My kids like to pretend "meow" when the cats are in the cupboard. We will read the author's other books because we liked this one so much.

Funny Bed Time Read,

This review is from: Take Care, Good Knight (Hardcover)
This book has been read about a million times for betimes, and each time when the Knight says "this does not seem right" it gets giggles. It's about three little dragons who are entrusted with the Wizard's cats while he is gone. And since they can't read the instructions, they make it up as they go along with funny results. The Good Knight comes along and helps the little dragons out. While the story line is funny and entertaining, the pictures really capture the feelings and plot of the book.

One of the best books I have seen for kids,
This review is from: Take Care, Good Knight (Hardcover)
This has got to be one of the best books I have seen for kids. It is full of humorous situations and misunderstandings. My kids love this book and enjoy having me read the book to them. The biggest problem with the book is that I have trouble reading some of the pages because I am laughing too hard. I recommend this book to anyone with of without kids. It is great for a laugh.

I read this story with my 4 and 2 year old. We all like the illustrations and my 4 year old can relate the story back and explain it. We also enjoyed Good Night Good Knight by the same author.

My daughter is only two years old and I wasnt sure that she was ready for this book. Now it's one of her favorites and we read it every night before going to bed. It's about dragons taking care of cats and she absolutely loves this concept.

Great Silly Fun,
By Lolagranola "lolagranola91" (Rural Wisconsin) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Take Care, Good Knight (Hardcover)
My five year old son want's this book every night. The dragon's do such silly things with the wizards cats - and Jacob loves to repeat the phrase, "Cats Swimming, that did not seam right" or "Cats camping, that did not seem right". The repetitive nature of that phrasing is great for early readers.

do you want to read a story before bed that will make you and your child laugh? If so then you should buy this book. It has become a family favorite and has been one of our four books a night every night for several weeks.
