5.0 out of 5 stars Can I have another? PLEASE!
Hot plus sized woman who's fragile from being ignored and dismissed by the man of her dreams. CHECK.

Sexy playboy about to get a reality check and his comeuppance. CHECK.

Tons of chemistry, a believable romance (!), and steamy sex. CHECK.

Sick of reading about perfect size zero fashionistas who live in NY and really have nothing more...

2.0 out of 5 stars boring
I was so sorry that I bought this book and it's sequel. after the great reviews, I though that this book had to be great. What a waste of money (and this book is expensive). Save your money! The first half was okay, the sex scenes were hot but toward the end I started really hating the main theme of this book. Lily is fat, Lily has a confidence problem cause she's...

Sick of reading about perfect size zero fashionistas who live in NY and really have nothing more to worry about than which pair of $700 shoes to wear tonight? Me, too. This is not one of those books. I couldn't put it down, and I can't wait for next one.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

4.0 out of 5 stars Intense erotic romance with an actual plot, July 11, 2006

This review is from: Take Me (Paperback)
Travis has always been the object of Lily's desire, but since they were ten, he has treated her at arm's length. His twin brother Luke, on the other hand, is still her best friend in the world. Luke promises to be there when she has to strut her plus size stuff on the runway for her sister's fashion show. When he is called to the ER for an emergency, he asks Travis to do something they have not done in some time - the twin switch.

Travis is not looking forward to having to spend time with Lily. But when he sets his eyes on her transformed self, his temperature is not the only thing rising. After a night of intense passion, they part, and Travis figures he will be back to his daily dose of teeny tiny arm candy. But when Luke gets Lily to admit the one night stand, he decides to get even with is twin by telling him that Lily had a one night stand with a stranger and said it was so-so. Travis being the lothario that he is wants another crack at her so that he can prove his virility. When he hires her to decorate a new property, they take off to Italy for a shopping binge, where Travis plans plenty of down time and the two engage in a torrid affair which is intense and erotically charged. But what happens when they bid arrivederci to Italy?

Andre has created something above and beyond what one expects from an erotic novel - it is also tender and humorous, with a cast of characters you cannot help but fall and cheer for, leaving the door open for a potential sequel for best pal Luke.

5.0 out of 5 stars COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN !!!, November 20, 2007
This review is from: Take Me (Paperback)
I have never read any books by this author before, but when I started it, I couldn't stop until I was finished.

Lily and Travis are very likeable characters, and I was rooting for them from the beginning. They had chemistry, friendship, and history going for them. This story was also very emotionally charged, and gave us all a chance to walk in someone else's shoes for a few hours. We were given an inside look into how thoughtless words and actions can impact a persons life long term. I for one am glad the author did not gloss over the hard stuff because the story wouldn't have been the same great quality if she did.

Spicy, hot, and very well written. I will happily add it to my collection.

I was so sorry that I bought this book and it's sequel. after the great reviews, I though that this book had to be great. What a waste of money (and this book is expensive). Save your money! The first half was okay, the sex scenes were hot but toward the end I started really hating the main theme of this book. Lily is fat, Lily has a confidence problem cause she's fat, nobody could love Lily cause she's fat and on and on and on. every chapter and verse her size is mentioned or implied. the book would have been much better if the author dropped the "fat" issue towards the end and just had her be Lily. As for the sequel, didn't really feel the chemistry. stay away from both books.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book!, May 7, 2009

I absolutely loved this book! I loved the fact that the main female character was a size 16. In most books when they describe a woman as "big" or "frumpy," it turns out that she is a size 10 or she falls in love and magically loses all the weight and turns into a beauty.

I like that fact that Lily was and remained a size 16 and the insults and petty indignities that "big women" go through was addressed in this book. Not to mention her slightly neurotic behavior sometimes. :0)

The character of Travis was a little cookie-cutter but still he was charming and believable.

And setting this in Tuscany was a stroke of genius. The perfect setting for this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars HOT, HOT, HOT!!!, January 24, 2006

This review is from: Take Me (Paperback)
This was one hot read. The characters were real and enjoyable. I liked that Lily was not your typical heroine. She was overweight, and she thought she wasn't pretty. In the end of this book she found herself and realized her true worth. The chemistry betweeen Travis and Lily was electrifying. These were the hottest love scenes I have read yet. I just loved Travis. Once he realized he loved Lily, he was the sweetest; patient and kind. This book was a very fast read. I happily add this book to my collection.

Lily Ellis is plus size woman who has been in love with Travis Carson as long as could remember. But Travis likes the thin types. After a last minute stand for one of her sister's model, Travis take a new look at Lily and likes what he see. After jetting her off to Tuscany, Travis plans to show Lily just how much he likes her curves!
"Take Me" was the first book that I read by Bella Andre and I love it! It was nice to see a Real Size woman finding love. Can't wait to read more by Ms. Andre.

Plus size Lily Ellis has loved Travis Carson most of her life. Too bad he's barely acknowledged her existence. Until one night when he reluctantly switches places with his twin brother to watch Lily in a fashion show, and he finally realizes how sexy Lily in all her lush beauty really is. What I love about this book is that it's not only incredibly sexy (I'm surprised the book didn't spontaneously combust!), but emotionally moving as well. If you like your romances hot and heartwrenching, this is the book for you. And as a bonus, Andre has set up the sequel featuring Travis' brother, Luke, and Lily's sister, Janica. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
