Half good, half not so good, March 12, 2006

TAKE ME OUT is a great song. It is the song that I heard that got me into Franz Ferdinand in the first place. But the remix of it is more something that will drive someone into disliking Franz Ferdinand, rather than what the original version did to me. So, in short, this CD-Single starts out great, and ends pretty poorly.
TAKE ME OUT--As I said before, this is a great song. Though somewhat overrated compared to some of Franz Ferdinand's other songs, it still is very good. Not everyone understands what's so good about this song, but if you give it a chance, you probably will. Featuring vocals by Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy.
SHOPPING FOR BLOOD--This song could easily be described as a darker mix of Franz Ferdinand's first two songs: DARTS OF PLEASURE and VAN TANGO. It's lead sung by Alex Kapranos (like DARTS), but it features keyboards (like TANGO). Unlike either of the songs, though, it features a very heavy, dark bass line which, when mixed echoing keyboard effects, comes out with a chilling sound. It's quite a good song, with very well chosen instrument selections. Featuring vocals by Alex Kapranos, Nick McCarthy, and Paul Thomson.
TRUCK STOP--This song is a radio session recording of the Franz Ferdinand song AUF ACHSE in 2003, before it was given its german name and recorded in studio. Anyway, I was not impressed by it very much. Though it was recorded in one take, it still probably could have been better. I liked AUF ACHSE better. Featuring vocals by Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy.
TAKE ME OUT [NAUM GABO REMIX]--In this remix, the classic Franz Ferdinand song is taken and put into somewhat of a rap. And the mere idea of that is horrifying. That's why I dislike this song so much. Featuring vocals by Alex Kapranos.
My final say about this CD is 3/5 stars.

Take Me Out : A new classic, July 24, 2004

I like Franz Ferdinand's Take me Out song, thats why i bought this cd single... I didn't know that Australian version had a remix, i just found out that other releases have different B sides and no remixes at all... and they are even more expensive!
Anyway... It will worth wait till Matinnee is released in Australia and also to buy this song.
