Joe Purdy, a singer/songwriter from Arkansas, put in his time working at a loading dock and as a counselor at a private high school before his song 'Wash Away' became synonymous with the 2004 season of ABC's Lost. Purdy left Arkansas for California in 2001, where he learned how to play the piano and began writing songs. --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.

Take My Blanket and Go

Purdy has a very mellow style, think relaxing yet also engaging. The song `Take My Blanket & Go' may well be a classic. The album grew on me over time. The first song San Jose was annoying to me upon first listening, but I quickly discovered the jewels that lay throughout the album.

Take a shot at Take My Blanket & Go and ease your troubled soul. It is a decent 5 star purchase.

I heard some of Joes songs watching Greys anatomy. I have never heard of him before that. I downloaded the whole album for my ipod and its the only music I listen to on my ipod right now. Cant get it right today is one of my favorites along with San Jose. The album is pretty mellow and the songs have really good meaning to them. I really hope Joe keeps putting out albums and gets bigger and bigger because he has such a great talent.
