4.0 out of 5 stars An Essential for Note Taking, May 4, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Take Notes (Ron Fry's How to Study Program) (Paperback)
Ron Fry's study books helped me immensely when I went away to college. His "Take Notes" book will help you figure out what is important in a lecture (meaning what you need to take notes on), taking notes from assigned reading, tips on shorthand, and putting your notes together to help you succeed.

3.0 out of 5 stars No Frills, January 19, 2004

It emphasizes that taking notes and reviewing them is the best way to study and prepare for a class, paper, and/or test. It's a quick read, written in plain English. A good basic place to start learning the art of taking notes.

4.0 out of 5 stars The best of the How to Study series, July 21, 2003
This review is from: Take Notes (Ron Fry's How to Study Program) (Paperback)
If you get one book in the How to Study series, this should be it. It's the most useful and important. While his particular system for taking notes is annoying and illegible to me, his general strategies and suggestions are all sensible, his discussions on outlining, using index cards for research papers, and notes for oral presentations are all good.
