Just a shot,
By Evil Lincoln (Dayton, Ohio) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Take Me Out / All for You Sophia / Words Leisured (Audio CD)
"Take Me Out" is an absolutely brilliant single, and the best rock song I've heard in a long, long time. I don't have the album yet, and am kind of afraid to get it, as I'm worried that it won't match the quality of "Take Me Out." However, the two b-sides on this single are pretty good, so I'll probably take my chances.
Do yourself a favor and download this incredible, rocking song by Franz Ferdinand now. Or buy this single for $3. It's well worth it.

Could go without "Words So Leisured",

This review is from: Take Me Out / All for You Sophia / Words Leisured (Audio CD)
TAKE ME OUT is a great song. It is what got me into Franz Ferdinand in the first place. ALL FOR YOU, SOPHIA is pretty good as well. But WORDS SO LEISURED is barely a song.
TAKE ME OUT--As I said before, this is a great song. Though somewhat overrated compared to some of Franz Ferdinand's other songs, it still is very good. Not everyone understands what's so good about this song, but if you give it a chance, you probably will. Featuring vocals by Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy. ALL FOR YOU, SOPHIA--This song isn't such a classic, but it has some well-inspired lyrics. The song tells the story of the Austrian archduke Franz Ferdinand's murder by the assassin Gavrillo Principe. It's not a fabulous song, but it's interesting to listen to. Featuring vocals by Nick McCarthy and Alex Kapranos. WORDS SO LEISURED--Barely a song at all. Featuring murmured vocals and acoustic guitar by Alex Kapranos and piano by Nick McCarthy, the band is split in half for the performance of this song. It's so soft, that it's almost two minutes of silence. It's just not enought of a song for my taste. Featuring vocals by Alex Kapranos. So I give it a 3.5/5 starring.
