Editorial Reviews

NTSC/Region 0. 2009 International double DVD set. The Circus Live tour this summer catapulted Take That into the record books when it became the fastest selling tour in UK history. 1.2 million people went to see Jason, Mark, Howard and Gary play 20 stadium dates including an incredible four Wembley shows. A benchmark for a band who have put their stamp on Pop history for the second time to become undeniable legends in UK music. DVD One captures Take That's critically acclaimed Wembley Stadium show in its awesome entirety. The circus performers, the hot air balloon, the inflatable ring master and, of course the unforgettable elephant! Watch as the band send the crowd into a frenzy as they deliver the biggest hits from their incredible career. The second DVD in this package features an intimate performance by the band hosted at Abbey Road Studios behind closed doors last month. Universal.

I'd like to say I'm not a big Take That fan... before having this DVD the only song I actually knew was the classic Back For Good. I found out about this concert when it was broadcast on TV in my country like a year ago, so I started watching, captivated by the AMAZING view of a sold-out Wembley Stadium and the incredible stage, and I actually ended up loving the show, even though I didn't know most of the words! I would say this one is a must have for any music lover, not just for Take That fans, but for anybody who appreciates music and the real spirit of a concert: awesome musicians, stage, special effects and the fans, all of that made this not only a simple live concert, but a real spectacle, a real circus!

I would definitely recommend this one to everybody, give it a shot, it is definitely worth every cent!

I would have loved to have attended one of the UK concerts on this tour, but living in Canada, was unable to do so. Watching the BluRay was the next best thing and it was amazing. The Abbey Road sessions were also wonderful and an added bonus. I would highly recommend this to any Take That fan.

This has got to be one of the VERY BEST concert dvd's I have EVER seen!!!! This group has come back with such vengance that it is simply not possible to overlook the talent of the four Manchester boys!
Apart from a few chart topping single releases, I was never a big fan of them when they were young...but ever since "Beautiful world"...they have developed into something quite amazing.
Forget the boy band stigma...these lads have shed this completely and have proven to us all that they can proudly stand alongside some of the greatest entertainers in the world.
Talent, entertainment, humour, cheekiness, Charisma, voices and originalty all rolled into one! A 2 hour experience that you can expereience over and over again! I just wish it was LONGER that just 2 hours!
Buy it.....today.

All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW! This concert has it all! Great Music, Dancing, Acrobatics, Incredible light show, Pyrotechnics, Incredible colors, Giant Automitons, and even a Circus!

This is the kind of thing I created my home theater for, and this did it more than justice! It was like being there. If you even remotely think you like Take That, you have to watch this DVD! I am a big fan, and this left me wanting for nothing (EXCEPT MORE!)

Loved every minute of it and was gutted I was not able to watch them live!
Living on the other side of the world does have its downsides but many thanks to this DVD, I finally got to see what their awesome show was like at Wembley Stadium.

At the first song, this dvd literally brought me to tears. Take That's genius when it comes to creating theatrics mixed with their songs absolutely outstands me. No expense was spared - and as a HUGE fan of the band, I would say they have completely outdone themselves. Bring on the next tour! But while that's still not happening, this is a nice dvd to look back on!

There are two completely separate parts to this blu-ray. The first part contains the concert/circus and the second part contains a separate recording session.

Part One: The Circus Live At Wembley Stadium

This concert includes a circus, with bright balloons, sad clowns, amazing acrobats, up in the air stunts, a strong man, and many other things. It is incredibly colorful and quite a spectacle to see and hear.

Here's the set list.

The Adventures Of A Lonely Balloon
Greatest Day
Hello
Could It Be Magic
Pray
A Million Love Songs
Back For Good
The Garden
Shine
Up All Night
Wooden Boat
How Did It Come To This
The Circus (four song medley)
What Is Love
Clown Medley (four song medley)
Said It All
Never Forget
Patience
Relight My Fire
Hold Up A Light
Rule The World

Part Two: In Session At Abbey Road

The quartet sing at a recording studio, London's Abbey Road (of Beatles fame), demonstrating excellent vocal talent.

The following is the set list.

The Garden
How Did It Come To This
Greatest Day
Up All Night
Patience
What Is Love
The Circus
Shine
Rule The World
Julie
Said It All

The blu-ray has excellent audio and video. I enjoyed both the concert/circus and the recording sessions.

fantasic and fun performances of take that live. this is minus robbie williams but the vocals are strong and the sets are over the top. it has a few moments of corney, but overall it is watchable. i am not big on circus themed anything, but there is enough distraction and good harmonies that you can easily get distracted!

One of the best concert videos I have ever seen. What a crime that American radio stations still refuse to play TT's music on the air. Can you believe that Americans have never heard of "Rule the World" or "Greatest Day"? Shame. BUY THIS DVD!!!!!
