I have been a Percy Sledge fan from the beginning. Take Time To Know Her is one of his best albums. Each soulful song brings with it the skill and mastery of a living icon of soul. Feed The Flame should be an anthem for anyone who has ever been truely in love. Cover Me is simple but perfect. I have had this Album and worn it out. Finally, after years of thinking it was out of print, I find it again. My wife of 33 years knew each word to Feed The Flame only because I sang it daily for 33 years. She now hears The Man himself each day. If you have no other album by Percy, make it this one. Life and love on a disc by the master himself.

This is the only Percy's record I've ever heard and I think it's great soul. Are 12 very poweful and beautiful songs that you can compare with those of Otis Redding and other great soul singers. Listen to the organ and the choirs, and put attention to the arrangements.
