Episode One

One-two-three, one-two-three, one-two-three. The simple, tuneful rhythm of guitars and mandolin insinuates itself into your head. No sooner than you've mentally kicked back to relish the predictable beauty, it blossoms with Vale's pensively sultry voice: "I lie here in my bed at night, Wondering alone, Flipping through the channels, As words are tumbling down." As the song's narration moves imagistically toward resolution, Vale's voice builds, choral harmonies caress, and instruments assert themselves. Like a meadowlark with percussionist ambitions, Joel's mandolin flits around the instrumental theme with increasingly dazzling variety. Propelled by the rising excitement of the song--eyes widened, pulse quickened, one sighs relief with a gentle landing.

I was fortunate enough to see Ellipsis live at MJ's Coffee House in Annville, PA!! And wow they are awesome!! The acoustic trio is just fantastic, and all of their songs were amazing. Joel, the voilinist/mandolinist of the group had a solo with his voilin that was off the walls!!!

I most DEFINATELY suggest buying this album!

I've had the privilege to see this group, in person, on two occasions. They are truly dedicated, talented musicians. I am thrilled with their new CD, "Take What You Will". If you're fortunate enough to hear the CD, you'll discover that each and every song is unique and captivating. While their musical styles are singularly different, their expertise combines and conveys an exceptional listening experience.
