This book is a great source of center material. I was able to put the pocket folder centers together in on hour (not counting laminating). The hanger centers are a little bit harder for the children to work with and take more time to put together. The shoe box centers also take more time to construct but are easily used by the children. I recommend this book. I was able to quickly add new centers to my collection. The centers are colorful and engaging. A worksheet is included on which children can record their work. I wish there was another book like this with additional centers that was strictly pocket folder centers--they are so easy to store and take up so little space. I did adapt some of the non-pocket folder centers into pocket folder centers.

This book is a must for any teacher working with limited space in the classroom. The student actually takes the whole center to their seat because it is that portable. Each center has step by step instructions on how to assemble and even has full color pictures to add to it upon completion.

I saw this book in a workshop and had to have it! It was so easy to make the centers... I just cut out the full color peices, laminated them, and put them in the box, folder, or hanger. The games even come with a recording sheet for the students. This is a must have for independent reading centers!

This book is excellent. It has tonds of ideas and information for centers. If you don't have space for the centers, creating the suggested take to your seats centers is the solution. Great book!

There are so many wonderful activities for your children to do during Literacy Centers in this book. I highly recommend it for a classroom, or for a parent with a child in grades 1-3.

I totally LOVE this product. They are time consuming to make up BUT well worth it.Once the centers are made up, they are easy to maintain. I would highly suggest laminating the pieces. I did and they have held up very well. My students loved doing them. I would recommend for any teachers. Many times I used these as a reward for getting work done in class early. Students were able to pick what they wanted to do after completing their assignments.

This book is my first purchase in the "Take it to your Seat" series, and I'm delighted with it!
These full color activities are of high quality and very appealing to my young learner.
They're easy to use, and offer a nice change of pace to reinforce literacy skills in a manner that is both fun and effective.

I will definitely be purchasing more books from this series, and hope all are as useful and creatively designed as this one.

Just cut, laminate and you are ready. I love how these are in color to capture my students attention. They wanted to write the first day. Since I am laminating them so they will last I still have a lot to cut out but for the price that is a small thing.

This has great ideas for centers. I am using them all as folders though. The shoeboxes are too cumbersome and the hangers require a place to hang AND rip too easily. It is NUCH better to adapt the centers and make them all in folders. This means not using all the add-ons, but the point is to give students work, not cute projects. The folders are easy to assemble and easy for students to carry. It is a bit time consuming to cut, laminate and cut again, but once the initial work is done, all that is needed for upkeep is the copying of answer sheets. So basically, a bit of work in the beginning pays off!

Excellent product - works well in a differntiated classroom. Once laminated, cut, and organized they can be used again and again. My students love them, my students' parents love them, and I love them!
