About the Author

Though my name is not really Erica Stevens, it is a pen name that I chose in memory of two amazing friends lost too soon, I do however live in Mass with my wonderful husband and our fish Sam, Woody, Hawk eye, Klinger, and Radar. I have a large and crazy family that I fit in well with. I am thankful every day for the love and laughter they have brought to my life. I have always loved to write and am an avid reader.

More About the Author

Though Erica Stevens is a pen name I created in memory of two friends, I actually do live in Mass with my amazing husband. I was born in New York and moved to Mass as a child. I spent my time growing up between NY and Mass, so I have some interesting times when sports games roll around. I was fortunate enough to marry my best friend over two years ago, and I don't know what I'd do without him. I have a large, crazy, fun loving family that just loves to laugh. My parents can always make me smile and are the strongest people I know. I have an older brother and sister, and a younger sister, who have blessed me with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. I am nowhere near as old as the great nieces and nephews make me sound. I love to read and have wanted to be a writer since I was nine years old.

I completely loved the second book on the series, and can't wait to get my hands on the next one!!!

It starts so sad, exactly where the first book leaves off, and then it spends most of the book without Cade in it, and Bethany in pain for losing him.

In this book Bethany gets stronger, faster, deadlier, but doesn't loose her fear, which keeps it very real(after all they are running and hiding), Cade reappears and finally reveals his many secrets, most of the questions about the aliens that are killing the humans get answered, and their love gets stronger.

The ending is not bad, specially because of everything that happens right before it which takes care of the previous loose ends!

In general I love her books, and can't wait to get the next ones on all of her series!

^_^

Honestly, the books are so good, the story line is captivating and the characters are lovable. Whoever is proof reading is not giving honest criticism, or just doesn't know any better. The word 'weary' has been used repeatedly, but only once correctly. The word you're looking for is 'wary'!!! The fact that this mistake is made in every book tells me this is an issue the author is not going to overcome alone. 'Anyway' is not always meant to be one word. There are times when 'any way' is the appropriate usage.
I dearly love the series, and every other book I've read from this author. She needs a devoted editor. Biggest and most repetitive complaint. It won't stop me from reading her books, but the headaches I get from the eye rolling and banging my head into the table may cause some lasting damage.
P.S. Punctuation counts. Otherwise they wouldn't spend so much of our lives trying to get it ingrained in our heads. Just a point the author should consider.

I loved this second book! It answered a lot of questions from the first. It left off with another cliffhanger, so that means I will definitely be purchasing the next book in the series. Please hurry with the next book!

I still love how Erica Stevens shows the emotions, not just tells you what they are. I would have preferred a little more love from Bethany though.

Almost as good as the first but fell a little short, as if the expectancy of what was around the corner was almost suspected. Still a good read and hope the third book is unwritten n close to its release

The story was progressing well from the first book. Some parts are interesting, others seemed a little predictable but then after the big reveal it ended a bit abruptly. It didn't seem to make sense why it ended like that which is why I gave it 3 stars.

I'll read the next book when it comes out and I'd recommend reading this one.

I liked book one. You may like this one if you are willing to be patient with the heroine, she's no June Iparis ( awesome book called "Legend") first ,you have to suffer through pages of sorrow , "I'm so broken inside", and believe me it was exhausting, and you just want to say enough!! , and the other thing is that you already suspect from the beginning of the series who Bethany love interest really is ( is kind of obvious ) so you have to be patient with her , things are right in her face and she still doesn't question it , so when she finally realizes it you are about to throw the book away . Besides that everything is ok ;)

I absolutely LOVE the story. I love the characters. I love the world that was created; however, for being a young adult novel, I can't get over the astounding number of grammatical errors. It wasn't even just the run on sentences, or missed spelled words that bothered me. I found I had to fill in the blanks a few times because the author would have two incomplete sentences with different ideas in the same sentence, or would use a completely incorrect word leaving me to guess what she truely meant. I would expect this level of writting from a 15 year old, but I am disappointed that I had to PAY for this level of writting. What a disappointing example to set for young adults. The first book was free, so I wasn't as irritated, and I had hoped this issue would have been cleared up in subsequent books. It seems as if these books weren't proofed or edited at all. The only reason I gave this book 3 stars was for the story and characters. They saved this book from the garbage, and seriously, at the end with the cars lights being on but dim...I hope in the next book they encounter survivors that just got there. Otherwise, the author's ignorance will be my undoing. Seems like she has never left her lights on before. That battery wouldn't have lasted over night, let alone weeks or months. My adivce, please proof read and edit the next books THOROUGHLY before asking money for them.
