I like most tracks on this album. I don't find it as interesting as "Love in other planets." Some of the cover lack creativity and could use more dynamic energized takes.

5.0 out of 5 stars I adore this album, June 2, 2009

Well, I never would have thought that I'd come to love an album full of covers. But I have. Adem not only does each and every song justice, but he puts a unique style of his own. He doesn't just duplicate the song. I am a big fan of Pinback, but there's no denying that Pinback ALWAYS sounds like Pinback with no exceptions. What I mean by that is, Pinback has a unique sound that they don't really vary from. Adem takes the song Loro and makes it his own and therefore the song is completely enjoyable by anyone including Pinback fans.

The stand out track, for me, is probably To Cure a Weakling Child/Boy Girl Song. That's actually a cover of two separate Aphex Twin songs put into one. A lot of the masses will never be able to get into Aphex Twin because it's not really your everyday music. Adem doesn't "dumb it down" but he does make it a lot easier for those with more closed minds to take. It's so bizarre hearing this song... and it's utterly beautiful. Remember when you heard Jose Gonzalez cover of that Knife song? It was probably in a Sony camera commercial. Well, regardless, that song is amazing to me and if you liked that then you'll like this album. The Yo La Tengo song may make you cry.

The point is, if you love hearing different interpretations of songs and acoustic songs, then you'll like this. Toned down simple production, a relaxing yet passionate voice, and a really good track listing make this a definite buy.
