Product Description

Perfect for brewing and serving your iced tea, this Takeya Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker Set features a brewing pitcher, along with a chilling pitcher. Both vessels have clear AcraGlass bodies that are BPA-free, as well as stain and odor proof. AcraGlass is lightweight and features glass-like clarity, yet is more durable than glass. The removable rotating lid-infuser on the brewing pitcher fully extracts the tea flavors while steeping, and makes clean-up easy. The airtight avocado colored twist-top lids lock in freshness, while the silicone soft grip handles, accented in an olive color, allow for easy pouring or transporting. Simply steep the tea in the small pitcher with built-in infuser, then transfer tea into the chilling pitcher filled with iced. Close lid tight, and gently shake. The chilling pitcher stores in fridge door or on its side. This Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker Set is great for brewing any type of tea.

Very simple, easy to clean, and fun to use.
Florida mom
I use it to make a pitcher of iced tea every few days in the warmer months, and you can still use the smaller one to brew a pot of hot tea in the colder months.
Sam
The lids seal perfectly so you could turn the pitchers upside down without fear.

I love tea but prefer iced tea. I've been on a health kick and like to drink tea through out the day.
This system works well for me. I have a tea kettle that I use to heat the water to the temperature recommended by the tea maker.
I place the loose tea in the steeping container (tea bags would work also). I then pour the hot water into the 25 ounce pitcher.
You are brewing a strong tea concentrate. Steep for recommended time then pour into the ice 1/2 filled 66 ounce pitcher.
You can adjust tea amount or ice amount to suit how strong you like your tea.
During the exchange there may be a few drips. I feel like a scientist mixing and pouring.
I like this system because both pitchers can use the same lids so either could be used to steep if you prefer.
The lids seal perfectly so you could turn the pitchers upside down without fear.
The entire units are BPA free acrylic/plastic so I feel good about that.
The steeper has a very fine screen. So fine that I was worried about putting a finger through it when cleaning.
With over 30 days of daily use so far it is holding up with no hints of wear.
The great thing about this fine a screen is that when using finer teas they don't pass through it into the pitcher.
The only possible issue I could say is the lids are designed to spin and lock into the pouring position.
I did have a few drips when I first tried pouring but I learned not to overfill it and to pour close to the cup I'm using.
I would definitely buy this again. If you like iced tea or a lot of hot tea this might be what you're looking for.

I've been trying to drink more water and cut down on diet soda, but I frequently want something with more flavor than water. I love iced tea and decided that an iced tea maker might be the solution. I didn't know anything about them but decided this was the best choice after doing some research on Amazon. I got it as a Christmas gift, and it's turned out to be even better than I hoped. Put loose tea or bags in the strainer and screw it into the small pitcher lid, pour boiling water into the small pitcher and screw the lid with the attached strainer onto the pitcher, and steep for approximately 5 minutes. Add ice cubes to large pitcher until it's 3/4 full, pour in the steeped tea, and add cool water to fill. Your tea is ready to drink. It's very easy to use and care for, easy to store, and makes great tasting tea. I've made a pitcher a day ever since Xmas.

Pros
Works with bags or loose tea
Easy to prepare tea
Tea tastes delicious and doesn't get cloudy
Tea ready to drink within a minute or two of filling the large pitcher
Minimal mess and easy clean up - dishwasher safe (I don't put the strainer in the dishwasher, though)
Not bulky like the electric ones - large pitcher fits in door of fridge and takes up little room, small pitcher takes up minimal space in cabinet
Lid screws on tightly to prevent leaks

Cons:
I loathe avocado green and would have said the color was a negative prior to using it, but I love the product so much I don't care anymore

I purchased this product recently after reading about it in a cooking magazine. This beats my other iced tea makers hands down! The others are more a hassle, this is simple, drop in the loose tea, water and steep it ~ done! For anyone that is a serious iced tea drinker I'd suggest using another, larger pitcher than the 66 ounce unit that comes with this product. For us that's just a few glasses of tea and then we needed to make more. So I purchased another glass pitcher here on Amazon that is larger and we keep them both going with tea.

You will love this iced tea maker for the simple, clear (never cloudy) great tasting tea it will make!

First, I love ice tea. That is, I LOVE ice tea. I usually have 4 glasses a day, especially in warm weather, which is the norm in Texas. With this iced tea maker that quantity may rise.

This replaced for me a large beverage dispenser jug, and everything improved. The speed of making it--just using a small "concentrated" pitcher for brewing and transfer to the larger one is faster than getting a large jug-sized amount of water hot/boiling; the clean-up is easier even though it's two containers, because the larger jug was a pain to clean either in the dishwasher or by hand; and the best part is having cold ice tea immediately.

Also, the pitcher is handy, easy to pour and it's built great. The lid fits tight and it's easy to use.

Add to that I think the tea even tastes better!

This is a great product to make great iced tea.

My daughter got this for me as a Mothers Day/Birthday gift. I have 2 other electric tea makers, but have been looking for somethibg to make iced green tea with. None of the others worked. I use 7-8 tea bags, filtered water, and steeped over night. Delicious. I could not be happier with this item. For me there are no negatives, I'd say give it a try. Works much better that the electic ones, and it makes plenty for the 2 of us. I guess if I wanted more I would decant into a bigger pitchers and just keep making in this one.
