Taking it All,
This review is from: Taking it All (Paperback)
Joanna Hopkins has just discovered that the love of her life and the father of her child has been hunting for her ever since she ran for the agency they both worked for. A covert agency called Alpha Corp. She has also discovered a few answers to her questions concerning the conception of their son, Alex. Jonathan Estevez has been searching for and protecting Joanna and Alex for the last six years. They both know that if Alpha Corp ever catches any of them, it might be an instant death sentence, and it will allow Alpha Corp to turn their son into an unstoppable, perfect agent.
Jonathan, with Alex's help, has devised a way to bring down Alpha Corp and gain the family the peace and normalcy that they hunger for. They have devised a virulent virus that will destroy everything and put an end to Alpha Corp for all time. The only issue is that Joanna and Jonathan will have to keep their family safe until the virus has a chance to go active. One afternoon, Joanna is captured by the very agent that took over Jonathan's job while miles away from home. Jonathan and Alex only have hours to try and get Joanna back before they won't be able to trace her though Alpha Corp's computers - can they do it? Faced with his worst nightmare, Jonathan must keep his emotions from taking over and become the man he left behind to save Joanna and keep Alex safe. Joanna is no scared, young spy, and is very aware of what she must do to get back to Jonathan and Alex. Can the small family overcome an international covert agency to discover the normal life they want so badly? Before I go any further, I want to let readers know that Taking it All is the second half of the entire story of Joanna, Jonathan and Alex. While you can read this story alone without any problems, I highly recommend that you read the first part, Issue of Trust, prior to this one. Taking it All, while a great suspense story, has the type of hot erotic scenes in it that Ellora's Cave is known for. Ms. O'Clare has made both Joanna and Jonathan's characters such strong ones that, even when they are fantasizing or missing each other, the scenes are so emotional that I had no difficulty feeling them. I also understood and felt the need of a parent to protect their child at all costs. I have to tell you that when I had finished the stories, the character that would not go away was the so intelligent Alex. I kept wondering how he did during the rest of his life. Taking it All finished the story of Joanna and Jonathan in a soul satisfying way. The suspense, action and romance were such that they took me right from the beginning to the end without allowing me to drop anywhere along the way. Jo reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed
