More About the Author

Cindi Myers became one of the most popular people in eighth grade when she and her best friend wrote a torrid historical romance and circulated it among their peers. Fame was short-lived, however; the English teacher confiscated the manuscript and advised her to concentrate on learning to properly diagram a sentence. From this humbling beginning, she has gone on to write more than three dozen novels that have been translated into more than a dozen languages and distributed all over the world. Her books have been praised for their emotion, humor and realistic characters. She writes stories about relationships that matter, whether the subject is friendship, families, or the love between a man and a woman.

3.0 out of 5 stars From Back Cover, March 26, 2005
A hedonistic couples-only resort and a shared cabin with bad-boy photographer Jake Dawson can end up only one way - hot, steamy and very sexy. But journalist Glynna McCormick is struggling to let go of her good-girl self long enough to indulge her secret, sensuous side. With Jake as the temptation, maybe she can throw caution to the wind...for this weekend only. After all, if she's going to write about romantic fantasies, she should at least uncover her own.

Back in the real world, however, the chemistry between them won't go away. Neither Glynna nor Jake is looking for a committed relationship to distract them from their career ambitions. That leaves them with a no-strings, no-holds-barred affair that's sure to satisfy these urges. Too bad this kind of passion is something they can't walk away from...ever!

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful, September 4, 2005

To know "what" the book is about, read other reviews. To know "how" the book was, read this review.

I've noticed several books that start off great, then rapidly go downhill. Oddly, there didn't seem to be a plot. It was boring, pointless. The characters weren't characterized well at all. There was nothing good to them. They seemed nice at first, then empty and lost. The heroine was way too much after getting recognition from her father, who wasn't nice one bit, and that's the main part where she appeared pathetic. The book kept going on and on in a wasteful, action-less fashion, as if the story ended right where it began. Some books are like this. However, this other man and woman, co-workers of the hero and heroine, teamed up romantically, and I enjoyed their daring heart-to-heart relationship. I liked the couple's resort scene on the nearby island, as it was refreshing, something to dream about. But don't be fooled, it still wasn't nearly as nice as it sounds. The intimate scenes were so hot at first, then they suddenly ended, frustrating me. It was strange, as if the scenes had been cut down, aiming to irritate and leave the reader wanting more or wondering what exactly took place. The ending was both expected and unexpected, which is good and bad. This book was a terrific waste of time.
