Format: Paperback
This book is a great primer for social media and just as importantly, a quick read for the busy professional. It covered the basics for each of the channels well, and while I was already comfortable with most of the social media channels discussed in the book, it reinforced the knowledge I gained through trial and error. The book also gave me some tips and tricks to try that I hadn't considered in my firm's social media strategy. A great read for someone getting started in social media that will help them avoid the time spent on trial and error and rather go right to success!

This book ended up being a gold mine for me. For starters, it really clarified the lingo, inner-workings and even etiquette of all the major channels—especially for Twitter. The screen grabs, charts, graphs and lists spelled it all out in a ‘make sense’ format. And simply by following Tracy’s strategy and campaign steps, I was able to grow my app brand from 3,000 to nearly 20,000 downloads. I’m recommending this book to everyone—because, of course, social media is here to stay.
