His inspiring resolve is to take on any challenge and plan, practice and execute a project with great aplomb.
He is not a risk taker but more like a super hero .
In each chapter the pace and prose sparkles like Indiana Jones searching for an archeological treasure.
`Taking the Bull by the Horns' prompts the reader to accomplish the marvel of our dreams.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first title by this author and was delighted to find he's written yet a second, and even more titillating tome.
Dr.A takes us through some fascinating and thought-provoking adventures in "Taking the Bull". As a physician myself, I particularly enjoy the interplay between his real world escapades and his profession - but I'm sure non-physicians would love it too. It's a great read !

In the blink of an eye Dr. Ray Aquitania has carefully sculpted another literary masterpiece in Taking the Bull by the Horns. I can be nothing but encomiastic. In our humdrum day-to-day lives we may be relegated to a mundane pedestrian existence, but Dr. Aquitania not only has specialized in Neurology but also takes us upon daring excursions in which he leaps from airplanes, scales glacial walls in Iceland, completes arduous triathlons, survives an accidental stay in a hostile foreign country, kayaks (with some difficulty) in rough ocean waters, and evades the bovine beasts of Pamplona's Festival de San Fermin.

Taking the Bull by the Horns reads quickly with its action-packed escapades in multiple settings and climes. Dr. Aquitania's intrepid outlook serves as an inspiration-- maybe (if we're lucky) we too can someday succeed in similar situations.

After reading Dr. A's first book, I expected I would be in for quite a ride with his second, Taking the Bull by the Horns. I was right! Ray Aquitania doesn't stop with thinking outside the box -- he LIVES outside the darn thing! There is a very active adventure gene in him and he doesn't hesitate to test it by pushing himself to the limits and beyond in everything he attempts physically and mentally. There were elements of both in every single chapter. The closest I ever came to sky diving was a hot air balloon ride, and that's the closest I'll ever get! Reading adventure books is fun but most are written by people who imagine the adventures, not having lived them. This book is very different in that respect and therefore much more enjoyable. What's in store for us in your next book, Dr. Aquitania?

I enjoyed partaking in Dr. A's daring escapades in "Taking the Bull by the Horns". I have long desired to attempt a few of the author's adventures, such as skydiving, and running/walking a marathon. The author's daredevil(reckless?) spirit allowed me priviledge of experiencing various thrills without offering my children chance of motherlessness.
The book was intellectually stimulating as well. Since I crave historical and geographical facts, I was ravenous with taking in the details of Iceland, The Middle East, and Spain. I was enthralled with the details of the Festival of San Fermin and "El Encierro". I would have personally enjoyed a few more colorful and descriptive nouns and adjectives, but the book was very readable and truly enjoyable!

I really enjoyed reading Taking The Bull By The Horns. It was full of detailed stories that the author had encountered throughout his life. Activities that he had took the initiative and exemplified the saying "taking the bull by the horn". I enjoyed it, because of what the saying means to me, and it is true that if you want to accomplish something in life or do something different, then we must take that initiative. And the author wrote stories that can show someone in different scenarios how to accomplish that through his lifetime activities. The only negative I have for the book is that the stories were a little to detailed for me and it kind of took away from the excitement of what was happening.

Dr. Aquitania's book was not only entertaining, it was incredibly inspiring. It was informative, spirited and personal and I felt like I was actually experiencing his extraordinary adventures along with him. He teaches us firsthand how we should live life with grace and without fear. To not only "live in the moment" but to embrace it.

"Taking the Bulls by the Horns" was uplifting, motivational and a very enjoyable read and I highly recommend the journey with Dr. Aquitania.

There's got to be a gene for the motivated professionals that go the last mile to get that Olympic medal around their neck and carry on for their schooling to become a Doc in the white coat as in the well written Jocks-Docs. Jocks-Docs was an interesting book from start to finish. Dr. Ray Aquitania/daredevil/author also wrote Taking The Bull By The Horns, he draws you in as he shares his wild, daredevil experiences from jumping out of planes with his college buddies, running with the bulls in Spain with his brother and kayaking in rough waters with his soul mate girlfriend, Sienna. I could not put the book down as he took me with him and I cheered him on in all phases. This book is a must read for all. It leaves you feeling inspired and motivated to live life to it's fullest. Hopefully many more like this will be written. Thank you for sharing. You are truly a Jock/Doc/daredevil.
