Book Description

The only way to keep what he has…is to surrender everything.

The Vaughn Series, Book 3

Merrick Vaughn couldn’t be happier with his life. His business is jumping and his marriage to the love of his life is about as good as it gets. At least, that’s what he thinks…until Chloe announces she wants to separate.

Stunned doesn’t begin to cover it, but it quickly becomes clear that she’s dead serious. And if he doesn’t take action, as in now, he’s going to lose the only woman he’s ever loved.

The last thing Chloe wants is a divorce, but she can’t go on living with a virtual stranger who spends all his time—and hers—behind a desk. It’s tearing her apart, and taking a break to sort out her thoughts seems her only recourse.

Then Merrick offers a wicked proposition: go to Hawaii with him for one week’s vacation. After that, if he hasn’t successfully changed her mind, he’ll let her go. No questions asked. There’s only one caveat. She must agree to give him complete control.

Chloe’s intrigued and scared. One week in paradise might bring them closer—or be their ultimate undoing.

Chloe and her husband were only married 2yrs. but he wanted his business to thrive. If she didn't work there she'd never see him, and he didn't realize he was neglecting her, until she left. now it's up to him to fight for her, and he will do anything to get her back. even his dominant ways come out, which he kept hidden from her. you will love this continuing story, and how they try to save there marriage. and boy do they try, again and again.and again, now on to book 4. enjoy..........

4.0 out of 5 stars A bit much! March 27, 2014

I like The Vaughn Series but found Taking Chloe just a bit too much. I think the relationship between Merrick & Chloe was a love between husband & wife but didn't see the need for some of the sexual acts during their Hawaii trip.

Don't bother buying this one. The series is sex and that's it. Even this gets boring when there's no storyline or development of the characters.

More About the Author

I met my very own prince charming, married him and have two delightful daughters. Raised as the only girl with three overprotective older brothers, I am constantly amazed at the wild things that a pair of sisters will do and say. I live in a quiet little town in the country where, on occasion, I slip out of this world and into the captivating world of my imagination.

When I first discovered romance books, I was awed that such a fabulous world existed. I've always loved to read, but up until I'd picked up a Madeline Baker historical romance I'd been reading only the things handed down by my mom. Talented authors such as Martha Grimes, Agatha Christie and even a few Mary Higgins Clarks.

So, imagine my surprise when I read about Native Americans meeting and falling in love with white women of the west and living happily ever after. I knew I'd finally found the genre for me!

Still, it wasn't until quite a few years later that I tried my hand at actually writing a romance. I now have over thirty titles to my name. My books can be found in Target, Barnes and Noble and other popular retailers. Canada's largest newspaper, The Toronto Star, recommends my books as an alternative read to Fifty Shades of Grey.
