Last year in first grade, we used this book given to us by our Neurologist to teach my daughter and her class about her newly diagnosed seizures. It was most helpful and well received by all. I highly recommend this book.

I think the price was too high for the information that the book offered. It was a short book for $9.95 plus shipping, so I feel like I didn't get my money's worth. I bought the book to share with my daughters classmates at school & felt it was made for younger children, maybe 1st or 2nd grade students. My daughter has a seizure disorder & is in 3rd grade. Hope this helps

We bought this book for our 2 yr old & her cousins & future playmates. When we read it to her the first time, she was completely absorbed; more so than with any book we've read her to date, and she's already a bookworm. She wanted it read twice more. She calls it the "essilessy" book & knows its about another kid who has seizures. Even if she has no idea what the rest of the information in the book means, she knows that the girl in the story has seizures, too. This book very obviously means something to her, even at such a young age, so it is well worth whatever we paid for it. I would replace it again and again at any cost for the value it has to my daughter.

I recommend it for use at home or with any group up through the elementary, maybe middle school, years that a child with epilepsy belongs to. Even just for use for parents to get an idea how to explain epilepsy and living with it to others using simple language and explanations. This children's book is an excellent addition to a family's epilepsy resource library.

This was an excellent book for my 7 year old daughter, I lent it to her Grade 2 teacher to read to the class which gave the kids a better understanding of what she goes through on a day to day basis, it was also very comforting for me to know that there are books out there made for young children, she was able to read it herself and understand that she is not alone. Brilliant!!!!!

I absolutely love this book! Our 6 year old daughter has epilepsy and had a seizure on the playground at school. Grades K-5 were out on recess at the time and it truly scared all of the kids as they watched the ambulance come and get her. The principal and other staff spent the next several hours going around trying to explain to kids that she was okay etc. I bought a copy of this book for the library at her school to help kids understand and I've gotten great reviews from teachers who've said it's really helped the kids understand better

Great book for any age to read. My son diagnosed with epilepsy at age 5. 2 months before starting kindergarten found this book and it was not only great for us to read at home but teachers loved it and now school has copy for them to keep in classroom. Perfect to help not only my son understand but his friends and caregivers as well!!!!

I really loved this book. My eldest son suddenly started having seizures in his teens.
It helped a lot to explain to my young daughter what was happening to her brother so she was not as scared.
Even though it was targeted towards younger children I know it was also helpful to him as well.
I recommend to anyone with children that have seizures, or know someone with seizures.
This would also be a great book for the classroom as well.
