Rand Paul is no ordinary Politician. He went into the senate with the intention on doing what a senator was supposed to do. That didn't last too long. He didn't want to be one of the cronies who saw business as usual and not stepping on toes as to not stir up trouble. Rand Paul was going to stir up Washington. He began to do things as he saw the people wanted him to. He would fight for the people who had voted for him; for their rights. He would be the man he was, even as others were aghast at his determination to change the way the system ran.
He would fight for, against what others would back him on, 'Term Limits'. He would fight against what Lobbyists had been doing all these years and what the Senate thought was 'going with the flow'. He would fight to 'Audit the Fed' and change what career Politician's had been comfortably going along with.
I cannot give away the whole book but I will tell you that I laughed and cried. I hugged the book as Rand came to life in my heart. I know that he is no ordinary man. Rand Paul stands for people in all walks of life. He actually has the courage to change this country and the big government that has gone out of control and become much too complacent with the way things are 'suppose to run'. Rand Paul will get rid of the corruption because his beliefs do not hold on to the old ways. He is a man for the future.
Rand Paul is more than just a man running for President of the United States. He is a man who the people have a chance to vote for once in a lifetime.Read more ›
Taking a Stand goes through a wide range of topics/issues that affect our every day lives and he does a great job explaining how government encroaches into our daily lives at the expense of liberty. He's a staunch supporter of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and gives me hope that there might actually be good people in the government working for us. I'm going to keep a close eye on him leading up to the election, and heck, I might actually volunteer my time for the first time in my life. I hope he wins the Republican nomination.
Thank you Rand,

The book read more like a collection of essays rather than a complete book but I did enjoy it. The progression is fairly linear so what he goes over in the earlier sections do come... Read morePublished 24 days ago by clinton
The man most likely to succeed in a polarized government. I wish he was still in the race. Maybe he'll run as an independent???Published 1 month ago by Jack B
I enjoyed this read, mainly for the parts about Senator Paul doing charity eye doctor work in a village of poor people. His stance on our Criminal Justice system is spot on. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Jacob Serafini
