Product Description
Brighten up any room by replacing your existing switch plate cover with one of these hand painted in the traditional Talavera style in Mexico. The plate cover is designed for a duplex plug (3-prong). Due to varying needs of different walls, we do NOT include screws or hardware. The picture shows four different switchplate designs. This is a representation of what they will look like. The one you order will be similar but not identical since each one id hand painted by various artists.
Talavera is an art form that has its roots starting in the 16th Century. Original styles have been influenced with Spanish, Arabic, Italian and Chinese origins. The Spaniards brought the technique to Mexico with a distinctive style that came from Talavera de la Reina, a city in the central part of Spain.
From there it developed into a contemporary art form that is still extremely popular that many villages were built just to support the making of the numerous forms that can be purchased today.

Love the colors and design. Bought the drawer pulls and one other switch plate that match. Item is a tiny, tiny bit smaller than standard size so we had to retouch the wall paint around it but it fabulous!

I have bought lightswitch covers and outlet covers from this seller and they are aboslutely beautiful. They look so pretty and add so much to my decor. I have several other Talavera pieces and it really looks great to have these touches as well. And, I want to say that these folks are an absolute delight to work with. I had a problem with the holes on the outlet covers not being quite big enough and they IMMEDIATELY sent me new ones and a return label for the ones that didn't work. How can you ask for better service than that? I will definitely be purchasing from them again. :)

The products are beautiful. I haven't put them up as of yet as I am in the middle of remodel. They look like they will work fine. They do not come with swithcplate screws but I can probably use the existing screws as they are standard. Delivery was fast. Thank you
