Perfect Jazz Rap,
By Michael Bowen "cobb_at_mdcbowen_dot_org" (Redondo Beach, CA United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Tale of 3 Cities (Audio CD)
There aren't many excellent examples of rap over jazz tracks. Most haven't heard more than Digable Planets, Guru & Jazzmatazz or maybe Buckshot Lefonque. This effort exceeds all of those and then some. It stands the test of time even a decade later as what it was all about. No corn or bogus nonsense in the rapping, with slamming acoustic blam on the tracks. If you don't know this album, you don't know. It's a must have for any serious collector.
