much better than Disney,

Adapted from original tale in The Arabian Nights, Kimmel's The Tale of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp conveys the story much more authentically than in Disney's Aladdin. It is much simpler than the original tale (and much less dark), but more focused than the Disney version with all its musical numbers and slapstick humor. I'd recommend this solid adaptation of a classic tale to ages 5 and up. Boys will particularly like it.
