A nice little story tie in from the movie,

Candlewick Press did a wonderful job releasing the group of materials to supplement the movie.
My favorite was http://www.amazon.com/Tale-Despereaux-Movie-Tie-Storybook/dp/0763640743/ref=pd_bbs_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1236204923&sr=8-3 The Deluxe StoryBook, but that is a "gentle" book that needs an adult to help with because it's a pop up and tears easily. This one is great. It's a snippet of the movie, and a good "girls" book. My grandaughter read this in a flash and couldn't wait to pour through the others when her brothers were done, expecially the comic book version. Hats off to Candlewick on a nice package for an excellent story. You owe it to yourself, though to read the full story. The movie, as most do, took some liberties. |
