I have this book and I am thirteen, a more "adult" age, but I love it! It is touching to read, and the pages are great with drawings and fantastic color! This book is wonderful, especially for children with imagination! I recommend this book to any parent or kid who loves great tales and dogs! It is imply wonderful! Buy this book now!

This book is terrific for little kids or dog-lovers, and it is a touching book from John Gravdahl. It's not very well-known, but you should definitely get it!

I purchased this book for my six year old daughter. She found the story sensitive and caring but not depressing. Her comments on the illustrations were, "Daddy, the pictures look like magic".

As a parent, I found the story to be heartwarming and tender and a nice lesson for children to learn. I highly recommend the book -- in fact I purchased other copies for my child's school library and for children of my friends. I think it is a book every child should read and look at.

I was given this book by my brother. It deals with relationships between owner and dog, and friends in a light yet loving way. The issue of death was dealt with in an appropriate manner. I had a good and warm feeling reading this book. This book should be read by all kids and parents. You don't have to be a dog lover to love it.
