action filled humorus ride to meet the family...,

This review is from: A Tale of Two Demon Slayers (Mass Market Paperback)
A Tale of Two Demon Slayers is the 3rd book in the Demon Sayer series by Angie Fox. I absolutely fell in love with Lizzie, her dog Pirate, Lizzie's very hot boyfriend Dimitri and her biker witch Grandma during the first 2 books. In this 3rd installment of the series, we get to know more about Dimitri and his family. This book introduces a whole new set of characters that make up for a whirlwind ride. We get to meet Dimitri's sisters Diana and Dyonne, friends of his family Amara and Talos (who are sworn to protect them), and a formal instructor to train Lizzie (finally). In this book Lizzie is looking forward to some downtime with Dimitri but as things go it is anything but restful and relaxing. I enjoyed this book greatly as an addition to the series and was sad when it ended all to quickly (read it in a day). As usual there is a lot of humor, action and romance throughout the book. I think the humor is one of my favorite part of the series. I also really like Lizzie, she is a very real character who is easy to relate to with her quirky tendencies (she may be slightly OCD). I am looking forward to the next book in the series, really hoping it won't be a super long time!

Angie Fox just keeps getting better. I love the way Lizzie is learning, but my all time favorites are the Red Skulls. Can't wait for book number 4!!!!!!

I really needed this book,
This review is from: A Tale of Two Demon Slayers (Mass Market Paperback)
This has been a crazy week and I really needed just one thing to go right - in this case it was A Tale of Two Demon Slayers by Angie Fox. It's got a great story, it's funny, it's interesting, it's dramatic. Plus I enjoyed reading about griffins. I've read a lot of vampire and shifter stories, and this is a fresh twist.Speaking of twists, I didn't see the ending of this book coming and that says a lot. I can usually tell where a book is going to end and in this case, I had no clue. I like that a lot and will be looking for the next title from Angie Fox.

fun urban fantasy thriller,
This review is from: A Tale of Two Demon Slayers (Mass Market Paperback)
She may have been The Accidental Demon Slayer, but in spite of her lack of experience, Lizzie Brown proved that a preschool teacher can kick butt. However, she also knows she needs training if she is to continue to battle demons. Thankfully, her biker grandma and the coven agree to teach Lizzie all she needs to know about demons and other supernatural species in Greece where Lizzie's griffin lover Dimitri lives.Dimitri owes Lizzie for breaking the curse that would have killed his sisters (see the Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers). Whereas his grateful siblings welcome the American, his former fiancé Amara, hates her. However, her biggest problems are her dog has bonded with a dragon (try bringing that through Customs) and someone stole a piece of her magic, which means they might be able to manipulate her at a time when evil is spreading and except for Grandma and the gang Lizzie has lost confidence. The latest dizzy Lizzie's urban fantasy thriller combines humor with supernatural suspense in an enjoyable tale. The story line is faster than grandma can ride her Harley and never decelerates even for a kiss. Sub-genre fan will enjoy Lizzie's Greek vacation as she confronts the most dangerous enemy of all, another Lizzie. Harriet Klausner

Lizzie goes to Greece with Dimitri for a vacation, to meet his family, and to train with her new teacher, but she ends up getting more than she bargained for when evil starts attacking Dimitri's ancestral home. This is my favorite in the series so far. Fox has clearly found her stride. The problems seen in the previous books are taken care of. The sex scenes are believable. There is real world heart to the story--can Dimitri and Lizzie make their differences work to be in a strong relationship? Characters are more well-rounded, and the paranormal world Fox has created makes more sense. I'm eagerly anticipating the next entry in the series and am glad the humor in the previous two books kept me around.

These books are great - I like the romantic theme in the background - the writing is humorous - find myself laughing out loud - the characters are pretty cool. Good books - will keep reading this series.

For the first thirty years of Lizzie Brown's life, everything was normal. She had worked at Happy Hands Preschool for seven years, interacting with her preschoolers. Then two months ago, her grandmother found her and Lizzie discovered she has the powers to destroy demons. However, when it comes to ability, she is not quite as good as required, at least not yet. However, she is doing her best. Coordinating fire drills, potty breaks and field trips for three-year-olds did not prepare her for bloodthirsty, curse-hurling imps and rancorous demons. Since she discovered her powers, Lizzie has been busy; saving Dimitri's sisters and then preventing Armageddon on the Las Vegas Strip. Lizzie's grandma also has magical powers and she leads a gang of bikers called the Red Skull biker witches, with names such as Ant Eater, Grandma's second-in-command. In fact, Lizzie's back up consists of her grandma, her feisty Jack Russell terrier Pirate, who began speaking when Lizzie came into her powers, and Lizzie's shape shifting, griffin boyfriend Dimitri.Dimitri has two sisters, Diana and Dyonne, who had lived their whole lives under a demon's curse. According to the curse, they will fall into a coma the day they turn twenty-eight and twenty-eight days later, they will die. However, they are past that age now, as Dimitri, with Lizzie's help, managed to break the curse. He loves Lizzie and is determined to protect her. In fact, his greatest fear is that something will happen to her. Dimitri is taking Lizzie to Greece to meet his family. Since his business kept him from taking her to the airport, her grandma took her there. Just before Lizzie got on the plane, her grandma gave her a small wooden box, telling Lizzie that she thought she was ready for it now. To be sure, grandma gave her a test; Lizzie had to open the box, which had no openings. Lizzie knew how to open the box; she was just reluctant, not knowing what was inside. When she opened it, she found an invisible bar, which foretold Lizzie's death. However, her grandma told her that free will always overrides anything so she can keep the vision from coming true. Grandma had an additional bit of information for her. Instead of the relaxing vacation she had foreseen, her grandma has found her an instructor in Greece. On the plane Dimitri had a confession to make to her. When he was looking for a demon slayer to help his sisters, he used old griffin magic and he used a trace of her power to find the rest of her. He had used a form of protective magic for his own purposes and, as he explained, when protective magic is used to expose rather than to guard, it makes the subject very vulnerable. Though he kept the thread well protected in a light box in his study, someone broke into his office the previous night. Upon their arrival home, after battling imps, they discovered that the thread was missing and the possibilities for destruction were infinite. It could even be used to manipulate Lizzie and could be dangerous in the wrong hands, but it seems that no one has used it yet or Lizzie would know. When it does happen, will she be prepared to come face-to-face with herself? Will it be used to fulfill Lizzie's death vision? A TALE OF TWO DEMON SLAYERS, the third book in Angie Fox's DEMON SLAYER series, is a delightfully witty paranormal romance. The interaction with Pirate and his new pet were hilarious and very imaginative. Filled with adventure, bizarre humor, intrigue, imagination, an original plot, romance, surprising plot twists and unbelievable characters, this book is unforgettable. The outrageous secondary characters add great appeal to the story. If you enjoy this story, you are sure to enjoy the first two books in this series, THE ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER and THE DANGEROUS BOOK FOR DEMON SLAYERS. As I eagerly await the next book in this series, be sure to grab your own copy of A TALE OF TWO DEMON SLAYERS. Dottie

I bought this book new... so what's so great about that ... I own a used bookstore but I couldn't wait to read book 3. In fact, I have bought all of Angie Fox's books new several times for family and friends.I not goin' into story line, I'm just goin' to explain why I gave books 1 and 2 5 stars and this "standard romance read" a 2. The first two books were a "coming of age" type book. Normal girl with a boring life that she likes ends up a demon-slayer with witchy biker Granny (with potion making biker coven), talking dog, and, of course, a handsome almost super hero love interest or two. I thoroughly enjoyed the development of her relationship with Grandma, her haphazard education in the art of killing nasty critters, and general gungoness. So book 3. It took place in Greece at the home of Dimitri and his twin sisters who Lizzie saved from death by killing a demon ... (problem #1) I did not count how many times this was mentioned but lots and lots seems to work. (problem #2) It was a "standard romance relationship" story line... so Amara has to be totally in love with Dimitri from childhood. He can not see the jealousy. Amara makes no bones on how much she hates Lizzie to Lizzie's face. (problem #3) Boring ... read to page 134 and then skipped nearly 60 pages to read the final fight... which was messy and boring. (problem #4) Everyone speaks perfect English and Lizzie is able to walk into the family generation old library and read the titles. Maybe Lizzie got a translation spell that I missed ... but I'm not goin' to read those 60 pages to find out. Speaking about reading.. she reads Amara's mother's journal ... again written in perfect English... (problem #5) the stupid cat. Amara or her brother brought a cat to live in Dimitri's home and after they are both dead... the cat remains in the house... after all those generations of betrayal ... a normal person wouldn't leave a possible agent in the house. So with all my ... and ,,,'s I give this book 2 stars and hope Ms Fox reads her reviews.... because I really did enjoy her first two books
