Clear and concise: The way it should be,
By
This review is from: The Tale of Zuko (Avatar, the Last Airbender: The Earth Kingdom Chronicles) (Paperback)
I bought all six books of The Earth Kingdom Chronicles for my family after watching the entire series on TV. Five stars for all books! While being an enjoyable book for children, I have - as an adult keenly interested in martial arts and Asian philosophy - found these books to be right on the mark with many concepts that are sometimes difficult to understand and I found it a sheer blessing to have finally some creators and writers who can take those concepts and relay them to others in a clear, simple and concise manner. Sadly this seems to be lacking in many mature readers' novels. And speaking of mature... Will there ever be a book #7 for Zuko's uncle Iroh?

The Earth Kingdom Chronicles,

An interesting series of little books. Each is written like a diary and covers most of the Avatar's adventures, thus far, from each character's point of view. Included in each book is a pair of 3-D glasses and a small color comic (3-D of course.) Children who enjoy the Avatar cartoon series will enjoy these books.

Great for fans. But Nothing New,

I bought this for a young fan of the TV show. He has read through the book several times and the glasses that come with it for the 3D pictures are a nice touch. But I thought the book would of have some additional parts of the story not told in the TV show. I was told there wasn't. (I didn't read the book or seen many of the episodes on TV)
I still rate this 4 stars because my nephew is big fan of the show and really liked having the book. |
