This movie was edited into garbage, they took all the nude scenes out of the movie, over 10 minutes of nudity and the acting is horrible, I think this was supposed to be softcore porn so expect softcore porn kind of acting but with no nudity, they took ALL the nudity out i think they're is only like 9 seconds of nudity and thats it, the blond girl in this movie is also a softcore porn star.
I saw the unedited version of this on HBO and it is one of the best movies around i bought this thinking that it was just like the hbo one ,but its not.if you can find the unedited version then i recommend you buy it.

A funny think happened when ordering Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love with Sarita Choudhury. I accidentally bought this movie instead. This is basically a B-movie with the typical bad acting and low budget ambiance that you would expect from any B-movie. The surprising thing about this movie is that the story itself was actually very well written and quite interesting. Had this movie had a bigger budget and better actors it could have been quite a nice film. That said the movie was entertaining because the story was good. The plot was pretty straightforward. A poor fellow is impotent and there are no physical reasons for it. He and his wife travel to India because he is an expert at art restoration. He is hired to restore an ancient statute of beautiful Indian woman. Mysteriously, the statue disappears and shortly thereafter they meet a strange woman who intertwines herself into their life and troubles. As the story unravels we find that the husband's impotence has something to do with a previous life and this mysterious woman. But I don't want to spoil things because this is where it movie gets interesting. I can't say I'd necessarily recommend this movie, but for a few late night hours, it was entertaining enough.

okay, but too tame,

I don't think many of these other reviewers have even seen this film! Instead it is a story about a man and woman trrying to decide whether or not to continue their relationship because of his inability to preform. Also, there is a tale told by a mysterious Indian woman they meet in India. She has a spirtual connection to the lead male. The two leads in the film are completely unappealing -- a real debt. The lead Indian woman is attractive, but we never see her naked. There is nudity in the film, but in the end we see only drawings of the kama sutra postions. The main plot line is boring. The story within the story is more interesting, but ultimately disappointing. However, I give it three stars because it was interesting at times and the photography, sets and costumes are wonderful.
